Mohonk Mountain house is a beautiful resort.
You can also book for Lunch or dinner. The food is not the greatest for the price but by booking a meal there you also have the opportunity to hike around the grounds and up to sky top the tower on the ridge.

The visitors center has information on all the trails on the preserve. For beautiful trails Coxing is my favorite because it is goes alongside a stream with beautiful flat rocks. You can also swim at split rock which is along the trail.
