There are bus stops very close to here - the 98 and 99 go to Hastings town centre (get the bus on the house side of the road - going East) or to Bexhill and even Eastbourne (beach side of the road). They are usually every 15 minutes. Walk to Warrior Square on the seafront and the choice is much greater. For taxis 01424247247 or 01424441234 I'd get the train to Rye unless you like to take a slow and scenic route, then the 100 bus will take you to Rye and onward to Dover if you like!

Hastings Old Town: George Street, The High Street, All Saints Street, Rock-a-Nore. All lively, filled with bars and restaurants, groovy shops, music. The funicular lifts up to the West and East Hills for amazing channel views. St Leonards: Walk around the architecture of Burton St Leonards, Maze Hill, East Ascent, Mercatoria, Stanhope Place, Norman Road and more.
