Best croissants in the city. I'm also a fan of their sourdough bread and Montreal-style bagels (and often even get the $3 day olds)

The waffles here are everything. They even have gluten-free. Be prepared for line-ups on weekends at brunch hour.

This place looks like nothing on the outside... but their home-brewed ginger beer is a must. They also have jamaican patties and roti.

LOVE this little spot. Artisan scones in flavours you've never dreamed of. Try the lemon curd with your scones.

This little Italian joint has the cutest back courtyard, and amazing service. They even offer 1/2 litres of wine, which I find to be the perfect amount for two.

My favourite asian food establishment in the city. Get the Golden Beef, the glass noodles, and try the soups. Portions are huge, and the guys running this place are so friendly.

Such a cute little gelato counter, nestled away on a side street. Constantly craving their homemade gelato bars - my go-to's include the Creamsicle and Raspberry (which is covered in dark chocolate). They also have rotating seasonal bars and a seasonal soft serve flavour too.

Come for the farmer's market on Saturdays from 9am-12pm. Lots of yummy treats to try, like fresh lemonade, and homemade momo's (tibetan dumplings with house-made hot sauce).

Really yummy and authentic Mexican fare. Try the Pozole soup on Fridays and the Horchata if they have it on tap. A meal might run you $13-19.

Parks & Nature

I love this large greenspace lining the ravine - great for running, biking, or just plain old hanging out in the grass. It's perfect because it's not over-populated like a lot of the other parks in the city.

Shopping

Cute little, well-curated vintage shop - they have a second location called Caravan, only a couple blocks apart as well. Their shops are beautifully merchandised with other vintage finds such as English tea cups, wool blankets.

Probably the most conveniently-located supermarket around. They carry everything you need in one place, but tend to be a little pricier than other alternatives.
