Drinks & Nightlife

Local favorite, small little place that has lives local musicians nightly generally playing Hawaiian music. Wednesday night they have a fun small luau - not the big resort luau, but more like what a true locals luau is. Local musicians, dancers and great mai tais!

Parks & Nature

Hanalei Bay is one of our favorite places to hand out. We're there almost every day for at least a few hours. Great beach to walk, usually good surfing for beginners or experienced surfers, stand-up paddle. Don't go there to snorkel!

Not a great walking beach but the snorkeling is great. Tends to be windier than Hanalei or Haena.

Amazing views from this lookout. If you arrive and it's clouded over, just hang out for awhile. It tends to clear suddenly.

Every Thursday local and visitor volunteers make poi from locally grown kalo (taro). It's a great way to learn some local stuff as you sit around and "talk story". You can stop by for a short time or stay all morning. Wear clothes that can get wet and a little dirty. Long hair must be tied back. It's one of my favorite activities!
