Wonderful hike with a huge payoff at the end. Waterfall and watering hole are stunning. File mile round trip hike. About 45 minute or so drive. The trails are fairly steep so would recommend children over 5 and those with no back/body issues. Pack some snacks and remember your Discovery Park Pass.

Lake Serene Trailhead
Mount Index River RoadWonderful hike with a huge payoff at the end. Waterfall and watering hole are stunning. File mile round trip hike. About 45 minute or so drive. The trails are fairly steep so would recommend children over 5 and those with no back/body issues. Pack some snacks and remember your Discovery Park Pass.

14503 Wallace Lake RoadBeautiful, shaded hike through the mountains and 3 stop off point to the top. Many think the lower falls has the best views and photo spots. Excellent local spot for a down home breakfast, brunch or lunch. Not on for dinner. Try the cinnamon roll- it's an experience :)

Also a fun spot is the petting zoo they have on site and the beautiful walking trails and grounds. No fee and no cost to park. Bring snacks or a picnic as there is no restaurant nearby.
