One of our favourite spots in the city. Perfect place to try Flamkuchen - Luxemourgish version of pizza (but also so so much better) and go for a drink.
They mostly work from afternoon on (open around 17h).

Neighborhood
Manternach is a small town but nevertheless very beautifull and worth visiting and hiking through.
Next door to our flat is the nature center "A wiewech" where you can, among else, see animal and plant species from our region.
In front of the nature center is also the starting point for the hiking route "Manternacher Fiels".
About 3-4minute walk away you can see a shallow river Syre that runs alongside of our town and follow it into our beautiful woods where you can dip your toes and cool off.
Unfortunately, we do not have a supermarket localy but first neighbourhood town (Grevenmacher - 3,6km away) does.

Grevenmacher
Only 3,6km away from Manternach and with a bus connection, Grevenmacher is a lovely city on the Mosel river.
It has everything - shopping center, grocery store, pharmacy, bakery, caffes, pubs, restaurants, clothing stores, movie theater, swimming pool, childrens playground etc.
The capital city of "the east" is only 15min drive away and as well conected with the bus.
With a lot of historical monuments, a lovely pedestrian zone, walking path next to the river Sauer, amazing lake within a wonderfull park (especially for children) - definitely worth visiting!
