Breakwater Beach
Away from the busy town, this pebble beach is less well known. Perfect for snorkeling and hunting for crabs under the rocks.
At high tide you can swim in from the steps. At low tide rock-shoes are recommended for entering the sea. It is a more sheltered cove with an excellent cafe and well-maintained toilets.

Behind the beach is a valley woodland, Churston Woods with historic lime kilns peeping from beneath the branches. Nearest toilets ae on Fishcombe Cove.
Agatha Christie's favourite swim spot. This beautiful pebble beach is easily found with a short walk from Broadsands towards Brixham.

A beautiful wall to the beach with nature reserve. Beach best at low tide with sandy beaches, rockpools and caves/tunnels to the right and shingle to left.

Shoalstone Pool is excellent for those wanting a break from the pebbles or sand. It's also contained and safe with lifeguards between set times in summer. The pool has a shallow end, perfect for very little ones. The deep end is fun for jumping in. It's a scenic location and everso slightly warmer water temperature too! Best visited after a recent high tide.

Berry Head is a unique vantage point to view the whole of Torbay and even as far as Portland Bill on a clear day. The Guardhouse Cafe is a delightful rest stop with indoor and outdoor seating. A great menu. Or grab a take-away coffee and take it with you as you walk.
A replica ship of The Golden Hind is in Brixham harbour. You can pay to go on board or simply view it from the quayside.

Food Scene
This is the cherry on the top of Fishcombe Cove. This fab cafe serves excellent dishes using locally sourced produce. I highly recommend their bread-bowls as well as ice cream, coffee and cakes. Toilets are also close by.

Excellent seafood and wonderful table service with gift bags for children. You must book way in advance not to disappoint. Perfect veranda seating is available overlooking the trawlers as they bring in the catch. Look out for Sammy the seal!
