Ask for Katie and tell her Jamie sent you -- she'll make you whatever you can dream up! It's a great sports bar, open late, and very close my little AirBnB! Feel free to walk there and stagger back if you wish ;) Don't let the fact that it's sitting under a DoubleTree Hotel deter you -- it's a great restaurant with great service, food and drink. 445 S Alvernon Way, near the DoubleTree

Gus Balon's has been around longer than I have. Breakfast and lunch only, but the food's definitely worth it -- as is the price

In their words, "We're stoked to have our restaurant at Grant Road Lumber Yard. It's historic, it's cool, you can make it your own, which is why it's the perfect setting for special events. Get a good look at its newly restored iconic sign as you devour our food."

Neighborhoods

The ranchette-style homes of the San Gabriel District are made mostly of brick, and 60 years ago used to be barracks for the military officers. Since that time so many unique and interesting upgrades have been made by the area’s owners, you’ll have fun just walking the streets and sightseeing!

The Botanical Gardens are an internationally known destination for folks with a fondness for flora, regardless of the biome. Look for the bench my family dedicated to my younger sister, Kelli Dee O'Mahony, who died in 2016. Her life was joyous and happy, and although she left us too soon, the bench is a celebration of that memory. Find it in joy! Lift her up in prayer and give thanks for the blessed life we all get to share!

Step back in time and enjoy the Old West Atmosphere of the “Town Too Tough To Die!”, Tombstone, Arizona. Walk the very same streets where Wyatt Earp and his brothers enjoyed the company of the likes of Doc Holliday! Step inside the historic buildings where a game of Faro or Poker would have called to the weary miner or even inside the silver mine where that precious dollar was once earned! Stand where the legendary stories of the past actually occurred and encapsulate yourself in our authentic Wild West History! Only an hour's drive from Tucson, and well worth the trip!
