Hudson has some terrific restaurants (Swoon for sit-down meals and Talbert & Arding for meals on the run) as well as a lively street scene. The town's antiques stores are legendary. Check out Sketch for interesting wrapping papers, cards, and art supplies, and the Spotty Dog and Or for drinks. The town is a bit too too sometimes, like Williamsburg transported upstate, so I find it's great to spend a few hours there and then chill out at home in the backyard.
