Although well within the cities boundaries these days in 1893 Cadbury family built a model village (Bourneville) for it's workers accommodation 6 miles south of Birmingham, to 'alleviate the evils of modern, more cramped living conditions'. By 1900, the estate included 313 cottages and houses set on 330 acres with it's many park & recreation areas reflecting the Cadburys concern with the health and fitness of their workforce. Ironic.

Lovely park bordering the River Leam in Leamington Town centre at the bottom of the parade opposite the Pump House. The walkway for washing elephants may still be seen near to the suspension bridge. There is also a treehouse section.
