It was an amazing homestay . Bishnu and his wife Laxmi, are kind, helpful and down-to-earth folks who've contributed much to our lovely time in pokhara. They've given me insight into the level of hospitality ingrained in the Nepali culture . They made most things seamless for my 3 friends and I (from little things like having someone pick us up at the Pokhara bus station to making instant bookings for us upon spontaneous decision to go paragliding or a massage, as well as when we decided to extend our stay in Pokhara). Bishnu works in the tourism industry and has good reliable contacts for doing most activities in Pokhara. He and his contacts have been very transparent and honest with the prices so I never once had to worry about being ripped off (as a tourist). Bishnu was always prompt with his phone message replies and would check in appropriately - something I appreciated very much. Their home is well-located, tucked away from the bustling areas in pokhara though just a 10 min walk away. It is quite a gem. The big balcony area on the 2nd floor is nice and windy ( a hammock and a small book shelf can be found there too), and it overlooks the beautiful Phewa lake. One could catch the sun setting by the lake here. The rooms are very clean . One thing to note - it might be a good idea for you to bring your insect repellent as mosquitoes can be bothersome in this area. Laxmi is a great cook too and happily cooks for guests at request . With the help of her daughter, she's made some of the best Dal bhaat's I've tried in Nepal! This place feels like home away from home and comes highly recommended !
