Walk through five centuries of queer history in Lisbon

• On this walking tour we’ll trace the footsteps of Portugal’s past through the lenses of colonialism, lusotropicalism, and their lasting effects on our views of sexuality and gender. •We’ll visit meaningful historic locations, from the 18th-century Chapel of São João Batista to Largo do Carmo, where the Revolution took place, before heading to a great LGBTQ+ venue to enjoy delicious Portuguese food (optional, at your own expense). • As we walk, we’ll understand the relationships between Portugal and its former colonies, the church, and how it shapes our cultural identity—leaving plenty of space for questions and relaxed breaks along the way! • The tour brings us to the heart of today’s queer movements, concluding at one of the city's best queer venues, where we celebrate our shared journey over the most amazing Portuguese tapas. • You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of the history and movements that have shapes the Lisbon of today, as well as knowing the best spots to enjoy during your stay. • You’ll also receive a digital copy of our curated “Queer Lisbon Map”- packed with the best (really the best) tips of the city. • Distance: 5 km (3.4 miles). • Easy/moderate physical activity, this route is mostly downhill, with only a small section requiring an uphill effort. A experiência consiste em sair da Marina junto á Torre de Belém, velejar ao longo do Rio Tejo e deslumbrar-se com o brilho de Lisboa, olhando de uma perspectiva diferente para as principais monumentos e atracções turísticas que a cidade tem para oferecer... Eu e meu amigo Paulo , iremos explicar os diversos monumentos pelos quais iremos passar, assim como alguns aspetos da cidade de Lisboa. Percurso: - Torre de Belém -Padrão dos Descobrimentos -Museu da Electricidade -MAAT -Ponte 25 de Abril -Cais do Sodré -Ribeira das Naus -Terreiro do Paço -Alfama -Cristo Rei Outras observações: O passeio de veleiro será bastante calmo e tranquilo. Não é permitido trazer bebidas alcoólicas para o barco. Agradecemos que cheguem com uma antecedencia de 15 minutos.

My experience was created while I was thinking of how I would like to participate in an experience if I were travelling with my family in these times of pos pandemic scenario. I would want to do everything in the company of family and friends. To see Lisbon from the river is an amazing feeling and I want all visitors to experience this. We start off by meeting you at the dock and taking you to the sailboat. There me and my sailor (we always have two sailors on the boat for safety reasons) will get you familiarized with the boat and all the safety rules you need to know. Welcome to the Village of Sintra! To start the day we will walk through the historical center crossing those little streets full of cute shops, Cafe's and colorful old houses! With small surprises on the way we will admire the beautiful views to the mountain and take a look at the national Palace of Sintra! Then we make our way to Quinta da Regaleira! Full of secret caves built in labyrinth, hidden lakes and waterfalls... Along with an exotic variaty of nature... It's one of the highlights of the day! And to make the best out of this experience I'll tell you everything you need to know! The history behind them and some valuable tips! Also I'll guide you halfway inside these gardens but also let you enjoy it by yourself for a while! Now after all the walking it's time for a rest.. so let's get back in the van and fly through the narrow mountain roads and discover the green mistic enchanted Forest of Sintra! And suddenly, when you least expect... you are at the most western point of Europe CABO DA ROCA! Finally time for food! We are going to a traditional Portuguese restaurant where you will try some of the best delecacies in Portugal! Take this time to enjoy the incredible views and refreshing breeze as we make our way along the Tagus River. Departing from Doca do Espanhol, Alcântara we will begin our tour, on the way we will see sights such as:: -25th of april bridge -Christ the King -MAAT -Electricity Museum -The Monument to the Discoveries -Tower of Belém -Commerce Square ("Praça do Comercio") -Alfama district Immerse yourself in Portuguese culture as you experience Lisbon from the sailboat while you enjoy a refreshing beverage; I offer a welcome drink (wine, beer or soft drinck) to those on board. You will return to shore with incredible photos and memories of the experience. I hope that touring with me teaches you about Lisbon, do not miss this oportunity, you will enjoy it for sure! People of all ages are welcome! Observar Golfinhos selvagens em Lisboa

Depart from Lisbon on a fast Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) on the search for dolphins in their natural habitat. Embark with me on a safe and educational ocean safari from the Tagus to the Atlantic. We will scan the ocean in search of free wildlife. Just like a scientist, you will help us find them, using several techniques. Get to know the different cetacean and seabirds species with an expert Marine Biologist. For 3 hours, you will experience the adventure of looking for dolphins. If we encounter other marine species (sunfish, sharks, jellyfish, tuna or sea turtles) great! Every day is different out at sea. Enjoy the best views of the Atlantic Coastline. When returning to the Tagus, I will stop in front of our iconic monuments and share curiosities of the Belem neighbourhood. Pass under the 25th of April bridge and enjoy Lisbon's skyline. If unforeseen weather conditions compromise the ability to go out, we might have to do the tour slightly earlier/later or on a different day altogether. Make sure you have your cell phone available the day before the activity. We will contact you if necessary. Can you imagine dolphins so close to Lisbon? Yes, they exist! As passioned for Lisbon, we want to show you the city as we see it, so you can get to know the secrets and customs of the Lisbon people and conquer our 7 Hills. More than a regular and touristic tour, you can learn the portuguese ways and even our language. A tuk tuk is an open air, very small and special vehicle that allow us to go through all the narrow streets of the old part of the town. We will go through them in an easy, very fun and adventurous way to go up the big hills of Lisbon. Throughout this trip, we'll explain you the history of the city and the places where we'll go, we'll do a lot of stops so you can visit inside the monuments and take some photos of the beautiful views. In this tour we'll get to know the old part of the Alfama District that includes the oldest monuments of the city near the Castle (Sé Cathedral, Saint Vicent Church, National Pantheon) awesome high viewpoints (Miradouro da Senhora do Monte and Portas do Sol) where you can see all the city and the 25th April Bridge from the top of the Hill, and stop in the little iconic streets from the XII Century. At the end we will finish in the downtown so you can explore Lisboa with new eyes. Other things to note We have 2 Tuks, the red (3 seats), the pink (4 seats) = in total 7 seats. Alfama: here we will start to see the local fish market, the public laundry and the local markets of the old city. Inside the alfama we will also visit the jewish old quarter, from here we are very close from the Sé District. Santo Estevão: If all the electric bike engines works good we will start climbing Lisboa, good bye Alfama, we are now at the first view point of Lisboa. From here we will see Alfama from the top, don´t forget your camera or you will regret forever... Castelo: our journey continues going up, if you are here, congratulations! You Have conquered the castle! Graça: If you think the castle was the highest part of our tour, forget it, we still have graça! Let´s seat here and have a water, coffee or beer, please take your time.. Senhora do Monte:Welcome to the most incredible view of Lisboa, considered by many "the view point".Enjoy the panoramic view of Lisboa, there´s nothing more to say! Mouraria: Test your breaks, we will start going down, this is the Last District of Lisboa. Here you will understand our culture, our roots, get close to our people to understand what is the Fado. Have you ever heard Fado? Other things to note Bring your comfortable shoes and and extra light jacket, Lisbon is windy at the view points! Enjoy unique views of Lisbon and stay with unforgettable memories and photos to make envy to your friends. Departing from Doca de Belém we will see Lisbon on a way you cannot from land. Discover the city from a different perspective, seeing unique sights while listening to stories about its monuments , sailing on the calm waters of the Tagus River for about two hours. We will see the unique perspetive of the Monument of Discoveries, Tower of Belém, Museum of Eletricity, MAAT, Cais do Sodré Square, Time Out Market, Praça do Comércio, the Catedral Sé, the Castle, hills of Alfama and the Christ. We are going to pass twice underneath the bridge 25 of April. I will be there to receive you most of the times. When i will not be able to be there, you will be received by one of my friends: António or Ana, all of them very experienced and they will provide you a very good experience. Bring a jacket because it can get could. However we can provide blankets if needed. The tour will be taken on a sailing boat, using engine and sail, in order to do the complete tour on 2 hours. If you want only a sailing tour, please book private option. We will do our best to welcome you and pass our love for our city. Old Lisbon Tour by electric Vintage car

Hello dear guest! We´ll be having a sightseeing tour, in the comfort of a electric car, replica of the famous Ford Model T from the 20´s. Lisbon is composed by 7 hills, narrow streets and beautiful (slippery :P) cobble stone sidewalks. Engaging in this tour, you´ll have a unique experience, where you´ll be able to enjoy the highlights of Lisbon historic center, with all it´s landmarks and amazing viewpoints. Avoiding, at the same time, what makes it so difficult to explore, the stiff streets, narrow sidewalks, poor public transportation and parking opportunities. Come with me and discover the 13th century neighborhood of Alfama, with it´s beautiful Cathedral and amazing panoramic viewpoint "Portas do Sol", located by our beautiful Castle of "São Jorge". Let´s enjoy the neighborhoods of Mouraria and Graça, while we climb to Lisbon´s highest viewpoint "Nossa Senhora do Monte" where we´ll have a close to 300º view over the city and it´s river. We won´t stop in the 13th century... Let´s move to the 18th century romanticism era, where neighborhoods such as Chiado and Bairro Alto were rebuilt, after the catastrophic earthquake of 1755 , and enjoy all its bohemian vibe, beautiful architecture and amazing viewpoints I can ensure this will be a never forgotten experience and will grant you deep knowledge over the city, it´s people and culture!
