L'Ancien Presbytere is set in a small rural village in beautiful Brittany countryside. Whilst the setting is calm & tranquil, shops, restaurants, activities, places to go & things to see are all close by.

Our aim is for you to feel at home and to be able to relax and thoroughly enjoy your stay and for you to use all areas of our garden & other facilities whilst you are here.
Within the Presbytere we offer three comfortable and spacious rooms, all with luxury en-suite shower rooms. Two are double rooms and the third comes with a double bed and a single bed so can also be a family room. Prices include a continental style breakfast and for your comfort all linens and towels are provided.
Our aim is to provide quality and comfort by marrying old world charm with modern living.
Free WiFi is available throughout the Presbytere and guests have access to a large characterful double aspect salon in which to relax. Within the salon there are books, games, jigsaws and a television with French and English programmes available. You are also free to enjoy the garden and its many seating areas during your stay.
Hot Tub & Sauna - guests staying with us for two or more nights also have access to the Hot Tub and Sauna subject to a supplement of 10€ per 2 hour session. Please note sessions are not shared with other guests, slots will need to be pre-booked. Guests need to wear suitable swimwear and provide their own beach/spa towels.
Delicious healthy continental breakfast - served in the dining room, usually from 8:00-9:00 a.m. but we can be flexible with a little notice, so please ask. We serve a selection of coffees and teas, fruit juice, bread, croissants, conserve, honey, fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal. The choice and selection will depend on the season and availability.
Table D'Hote Evening meals -A three course evening meal is available for all of our guests. Prepared from fresh, local produce each day and priced from 19€ per person... we just need 24 hours notice and we'll do the rest.
Rooms with Views - all our bedrooms are situated at the front of the house and from each there are views over the church, the village and the countryside beyond.
From the landings we have views over rolling green fields and trees. Due to the lack of light pollution we have beautiful evening star shows too for you to enjoy while relaxing.
Chambre 3 - A large double room with en-suite
A lovely spacious room, situated on the second floor and offering views over the village and countryside. This room is furnished with a double and a sofa, a dresser, small table and chairs and a built in wardrobe.
This room has a fully equipped en-suite with shower cubicle and sink unit with storage below.
We also have a further two rooms. A beautifully appointed double bedroom with
en-suite on the first floor (Chambre 1) and a welcoming double room with en-suite on the second floor (Chambre 2) - please see our separate listings.
In all of our rooms you will find a quality bed, mattress, pillows, linen and towels. A hairdryer, iron and ironing board are available on request. We can also provide travel plugs if required. We can also provide a laundry service at an additional charge.

L'Ancien Presbytere is set in a walled garden directly behind the church at the centre of a small peaceful French village. Two minutes in any direction and you will find beautiful countryside.
Set midway between the north and south coasts of Brittany this is the perfect base to explore and discover all that is on offer in this stunning part of the world.
The south coast is just an hours drive and the north coast only half an hour further.
Our nearest inland beach can be found at Lac de Guerledan just a 25 minute drive away.
There’s so much to see and do here in this ‘Celtic corner of France’. If you like the outdoors, the location is ideal, with lanes to cycle or walks surrounded by wildlife and nature along the nearby Nantes Brest canal. A visit to the nearby beautiful Lac de Guerledan, the largest lake in Brittany, is an experience not to be missed. As well as the fabulous coastlines, we also especially recommend a visit to Bon Repos Abbey and market; Josselin with its beautiful castle; Vannes for a wander along the ramparts and the town before stopping for lunch at one of the creperies in the square, the Valley of the Saints and Concarneau with its harbour, beaches and old walled town.
More about Lac de Guerledan - This enormous lakes stretches for over 12km and is the centre for many outdoor activities and water sports. Spend an afternoon canoeing or kayaking on the lake or swim and relax while soaking up the sun on one of the beaches. The 7000 acre Forest de Quenecan surrounds the lake and is fabulous for mountain biking, there are almost 300 trails in the area of varying length and difficulty. If you love to walk, hike or run why not take advantage of the space and beauty. If you are feeling adventurous you could also try rock climbing at one of the nearby gorges. There are also boats and pedalos for hire or for the ultimate lake experience take a sightseeing boat cruise along the lake.
The nearest restaurants, a Bistro and a Pizzeria, are only a 5 minute drive away in Langoelan.
Gouarec, 15 minutes away, is a beautiful village set on the Nantes Brest canal and built around an historic arched open marketplace. There are many events and activities to be found here including: fairs and markets; a vintage car meet; cycling and boating events; local open gardens as well as the opportunity to walk or to hire a cycle and go explore the canal towpath, or relax and have a meal in a choice of restaurants.
Guemene Sur Scorff a lively and friendly village is only a 15 minute drive from the Cottage. Here there are a number of shops including: a boulangerie, a charcuterie, grocers, florist and gift shop, newsagent, tabac, brocantes, a pharmacy, doctors, banks, post office and an Intermarche supermarket. There are bars and restaurants as well as an excellent tourist office, a Roman bath and a ruined chateau! The village plays host to many fairs and festivals throughout the year including antique markets and free music festivals.
Lescouët-Gouarec, Brittany, フランス
