To the far left of Orchard Lodge lies a well-maintained communal garden with a wooden table and chairs, a parasol and three sun loungers which guests are welcome to use. There is also a summer house with two large sofas and a cosy wood burning stove which is shared with B&B guests from Orchard Lodge. Off-street parking for two cars is available at the front of the property.
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

Broadway is a beautiful village in the North Cotswolds, steeped in history and surrounded by stunning countryside. The village gets its name from the wide street, or broad way, that runs through the centre which was once the main road from Worcester to London. This attractive High Street is bordered with chestnut trees and honey coloured stone cottages dating from the 16th century and is one of the most picturesque villages of the Cotswolds. The broad way is thought to be especially wide because at one time there used to be streams running each side of the main drive. These streams were eventually hidden in underground pipes where they would emerge at 'dipping' points, but sadly they are now almost completely invisible.

Set above the River Isbourne, Winchcombe is arguably the hidden jewel in the Cotswolds crown. The town became prosperous from its Abbey (one of the largest Benedictine monasteries in England), its wool trade and as a producer of tobacco. Although the Abbey has gone there is still much to see of historic Winchcombe and the wealth of the town is reflected in many of the buildings, as well as in the surrounding countryside. No visit to Winchcombe would be complete without seeing four of the most prestigious historical sites in the area. Sudeley Castle (home of Queen Katherine Parr up to her death in 1548), Hailes Abbey (a Cistercian House founded in 1246 and owned by English Heritage), Stanway House (a Jacobean manor house with a world-famous fountain) and Belas Knap (a Neolithic long barrow dating from approximately 3800 BC) all offer a fascinating insight into the life of our ancestors. Known as the walking capital of the Cotswolds, Winchcombe sits at the intersection of the Cotswold Way, the Gloucestershire Way, the Wardens Way, the Windrush Way and the new Winchcombe Way. Alternatively, the GWR Steam Railway provides a fantastic fun day out for the family, running from Toddington through Winchcombe to Cheltenham Racecourse. Winchcombe has a mouthwatering selection of top quality restaurants, a wine bar, pubs, tea shops and a contemporary delicatessen/coffee shop. So whether you want a quick snack or a leisurely meal you'll be spoilt for choice. With a vibrant Music & Arts Festival in May/June, a Country Show in August and a Christmas Festival in December, Winchcombe also has a busy cultural calendar. Food & Drink Winchcombe is fortunate to be blessed with a variety of places to eat and drink, with the following being just a selection of the options available: Restaurant 5 North Street (www.5northstreetrestaurant.co.uk): A small family run Michelin starred restaurant. The cooking at North Street brings together the elements of traditional British cooking with the more sophisticated ingredients and techniques of classic French cuisine; Wesley House (www.wesleyhouse.co.uk): Set in a 15th century Merchant's House, Wesley House's restaurant has been awarded an AA two star rosette and has developed a reputation for excellent food, elegant surroundings and exemplary service. The vibrant Wine Bar & Grill offers a lively atmosphere, with an extensive cellar and delicious dishes in a relaxed setting; Wine and Sausage at The White Hart Inn (http://wineandsausage.whitehartwinchcombe.co.uk): The White Hart Inn is a charming 16th Century inn, with the Wine & Sausage Restaurant at its heart. Open daily for breakfast, morning coffee & cakes, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and bar snacks.

The Nook is a cosy one bedroom cottage in the beautiful village of Gretton. Set on the Winchcombe Way, The Nook is in a small village that is just two miles outside Winchcombe which has a host of pubs and restaurants. It has a spacious kitchen diner, cosy lounge with inglenook fireplace. A spiral staircase leads up to the Double bedroom with en-suite shower room. The local pub, The Royal Oak, is walking distance and has great reviews. The Nook is perfect for couples looking for a cosy getaway.
The stylish kitchen diner has everything you need to cook during your stay. The kitchen diner leads into the cosy lounge with original exposed oak beams and a stunning inglenook fireplace fitted with a log burning stove. Welcoming sofas provide somewhere to relax after a long day. The freeview TV means you will not miss your favourite shows. From the lounge a narrow spiral staircase takes you upstairs in to the double bedroom where a French style bed is covered in fresh cotton sheets and scatter cushions. The newly fitted en-suite shower room has warm towels and a thermostatic shower. Outside, The Nook has its own private terrace with table and chairs and access to the shared garden where there is another larger table and chairs with BBQ. The Nook is attached to another property called The Cottage and can be rented alongside (under separate listings). There are secure interconnected doors on the ground floor off the lounge and in the bedroom that also act as emergency exits. Every effort has been made to soundproof these doors, but as they are doors you may hear some noise if there are other guests next door. The Nook has a spiral staircase that opens out in to the bedroom. This room is not suitable for very young children. If you would rather a more spacious 2 bed property without a spiral staircase, the adjoining property, The Cottage, can be rented (under separate listing). Please note I DO NOT charge any additional hidden fees , including cleaning fees, that can significantly increase the cost of your stay.
Gretton is a beautiful Cotswold Village with a great local pub, The Royal oak, that is walking distance from the property. There are lots of beautiful walks around Gretton and Winchcombe and plenty of things to do in the local area. The gardens of the The Nook look out towards the old Gretton Church tower and have a number of seating areas to enjoy the pretty garden. Gretton is a village, it has a local pub but no shops. The nearest shops are in Winchcombe.

The Bakehouse is certainly unique, a quirky ensuite bedroom in the garden, pretty and very comfortable! Set in rolling farmland , this is a rural location with views up to Hailes Wood. We are right on the Cotswold Way trail, head either NE to chipping Camden or SW to winchcombe. The fascinating ruins of Hailes Abbey (1246 AD) are a 5 min walk away, falling into disrepair after the dissolution of the Monasteries. Legend has it that Thomas Cromwell watched the Abbey from a hill veiwpoint ( Cromwell's Clump please see photo) now on the Cotswold Way. Opposite the Abbey is the pretty Hailes church with stunning medieval wall paintings revealed in the 1970's Suggestions.. 1. The Monk’s Retreat is a unique, charming and peaceful cottage adjacent to the farmhouse with the bedroom balcony overlooking the sitting room evoking images of a hayloft. Tastefully furnished with antiques to compliment the modern amenities. There is a gas cooker and dishwasher in the quirky kitchen that in days gone by was used to press the grapes for our home made wine, the terrace overlooks our baby vineyard! (Please aware there are stone steps to get to the cottage.)
There is a terrace within the large gardens that is solely for you but you’re welcome to explore the garden.
In the heart of the North Cotswolds, Stanton is a picture perfect village. Honey coloured houses clustered around the Main Street. There is The Mount Inn just next door and Carenzas Riding School at the other end of the village. Broadway, Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon are within easy reach.

We are located in the countryside but within easy reach of Cheltenham, Stratford-on-Avon, the Cotswolds, the Malverns and Worcester. We are a working farm at the foot of Bredon Hill, just over one mile from the local village which has a great pub. There are many great walks and cycle routes around and we also have a large pond which is great for fishing in or relaxing by. The Woodshed is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with children).
The Woodshed is a beautiful, detached, timber clad dwelling on an organic farm in the heart of Worcestershire. It is situated next to the farm house, off a quiet country lane, surrounded by fields and with fantastic views of Bredon Hill and the Malverns. A perfect place to relax and use as a base to explore the surrounding area. Sit outside and enjoy the sunshine or stars in good weather or curl up in front of the woodburning stove when the weather turns chilly.
Elmley Castle is a picturesque village with a lovely pub serving great food, a cricket green, a playground, and plenty of footpaths that give access to Bredon Hill and the surrounding villages. The Woodshed is situated just over a mile outside the village along a quiet lane. The nearest town is Pershore which is a ten minute drive away and has various shops and supermarkets as well as good restaurants, pubs and takeaways.

Your holiday home away from home and the perfect base to explore the area or just enjoy being part of the Cotswolds :) Full of character and charm, Honey Cottage is the perfect Cotswold retreat in the heart of the historical town of Winchcombe. Full of character such as exposed beams and stone walls throughout. There is also a lovely large, enclosed, private garden with views to the picturesque church. Both the kitchen and the double bedroom have views over the garden.
Honey Cottage is located on Gloucester Street, which is close to the local shops, restaurants and pubs and one of the oldest streets in Winchcombe. Winchcombe is an historic Cotswold town full of charm, tradition and even a castle! Situated on the Winchcombe Way there is lots of walking for those who love the outdoors. There is a tiled boot room with a boot sink by the back door – the perfect place for washing off muddy wellies. The cottage is full of period charm and features such as original beams, Cotswold stone walls (which have been lovingly restored by hand) and mullion windows to name but a few! The layout of the cottage is as follows: * Ground Floor * On the ground floor there is the sitting/dining room as you enter the property, which has a dining table to comfortably seat 4 guests – with a cute inbuilt windowseat which is a lovely place to watch the world go by. The kitchen was newly fitted in November 2017 and has built in washing machine and dishwasher, plus an electric cooker and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. We also provide tea towels, oven gloves and utensils that you should need to cook for yourself. The kitchen leads into the boot room which has the backdoor into the garden, and through the boot room leads to the downstairs bathroom which is very modern and cleanly fitted with a bath and overhead shower. To the rear of the property is the large, enclosed garden, which is great for kids and dogs to explore, as well as a lovely place to enjoy the sunshine. *1st Floor * Upstairs, the traditional features continue with lots of exposed beams. The master bedroom has a very comfy Super King bed, plus a dressing table and traditional mullion window and fireplace. (Airbnb only has option for King not Super King, but the bed in the master bedroom is a Super King!) The second bedroom has a lovely view over the garden and has a double bed (was previously twin beds until November 2019)
Winchcombe is a delightful area, full of history and charm with wonderful buildings and surrounded by lovely rolling hills. Honey Cottage is a great base to explore the local walks and area, or a cosy bolthole to enjoy a quiet weekend in the Cotswolds
