Our home is located in the municipal seat of San José Villa de Allende, where you can find distinctive folklore of the State of Mexico and know one of the main cultures that is the Mazahua. We are very close to spas, one hour from the airport of Toluca and Valle de Bravo, two hours from the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary and the Nevado de Toluca (volcano) and half an hour from Ixtapan del Oro.
Separate room with a double bed, you can use all common areas of the department.
The town is very quiet local life begins at 6:00 am, people tend to sleep early, so at 10:00 pm is unlikely to find one open.
Great people between buterflies
We wanted to see the Mariposa reserva and decided to stay at Jatziri's place in San Jose villa de Allende. It's not the closest but the wonderful hosting of Jatziri and Francisco more than made up for it! The place is simple but has everything you need. Jatziri and Francisco are amazing people and went out of their way to make our stay the best possible. I warmly recommand this place.
Very clean, comfortable and affordable. Jatziri is a very thoughtful host and provided us with a delicious pastries for breakfast. A calm and quiet place to stay. Make sure you know which butterfly location you plan on visiting as this place is a bit far from El Rosario (2hr) but close to El Capulin (1hr). If you plan to see butterflies early in the day before the crowds arrive you may need to get an earlier start than if you were staying in Angangueo (where the most basic accommodations are twice the price).
