“From Anne Frank's diary: " I want to be useful or bring enjoyment to all people, even those I've never met. I want to go on living even after my death!.... When I write I can shake off all my cares. My sorrow disappears, my spirits are revived! " So that we may learn from our ancestors' mistakes, let these memories get impressed in your mind and stop to Rozengracht by the Tram 19”

Aquarium
“Artis is the oldest zoo in the Netherlands. Artis is located in the Plantage neighborhood. Artis, officially the Royal Zoological Society Natura Artis Magistra "nature is the teacher of art", founded in 1838. In addition to animals of all shapes and sizes, the park has around 27 monumental buildings that largely date from the nineteenth century In addition, it has a planetarium. The nicest places to have a bite or drink are Plantage (attached to Artis, with a Paris-like terrace) and Café Koosje around the corner, a real Amsterdam-style brown cafe. Give our sweet greetings to bartender Dominique, if she is working that day.”

“De Foodhallen is a must go for any food lover. A hall with many high quality food stands in an old tram station. Make sure you go with an empty stomach and do not leave until you have tried at least eight different stands! Our favourites are, of course, the traditional Dutch bitterballen; the dim sum; The Butcher burgers (but please check my recommendation for The Butcher on Albert Cuypstraat); and the oyster bar! There is live music on some days, so please check the website for what's on.”

“One of the nicest breweries in Amsterdam, situated in an old mill. You can do a beer tasting or get a tour of the brewery. The beer they brew is a big hit throughout the Netherlands. Mind you: the terrace does close early (8PM), so go early! ”

“an excellent organic farmers market held on Saturdays at the Nordermarkt from 09h - 16h. The wild mushroom stall is wonderful and Le Perron sells great bread. The place to go for picnic supplies before you hire a boat and picnic on the canals”
