I feel so confortable and have fun for her house. In the boat, there are many things than I think. And breakfast is so delicious. She and her husband help me everything I need. I really glad to take me to the shore any time. Their hospitaly is the best in my travel. I am grateful to them really.
It's hard to put into words how great this little cabin is. Pictures are spot on. The private hike they offer is definitely worth doing. Coming back up the trail is TOUGH but the waterfalls and private beach at the end of the trail makes the workout worth it. Gizelle and Jason are so great and accomodating. Super friendly. They check in on you to make sure you dont need anything and are very informative if you have any questions about the island. The cabin is close to Maracas Beach and Las Cuevas Beach. You'll definitely need a car to stay here but its worth having so that you can explore as much as possible. Highly recommended!!!
This was my 2nd stay at the Duplex in Moka, which shows that the 1st stay made me want to come again. I have always felt safe there which is important when traveling alone, and comfortable. The house is beautiful, and well-maintained. It has everything that you would need for a self-catering accommodation, and it is definitely a family-friendly space. Since I have been there before, I was familiar with the surrounding area, which offered all that I may have needed (groceries, snacks, banks, shops, restaurants, ice cream, etc.). Also, the villa is a short but tedious drive from my beloved Maracas Beach, which is under construction, but it is still my "spot" in Trinidad. I am now no longer intimidated by the drive (and the other drivers) on the North Coast Road after this stay! I rent a car when in Trinidad, so that I can get around to all parts of the island to visit friends and family. I can say that the drive from the airport to the villa felt like I was returning home in a way. It had been a year, but it did not seem that long, everything was as I had remembered it. Gerard was in the yard working on the landscaping, which as usual is lovely, and greeted me like an old friend who came to visit. This year I had more interaction with the family, and I did feel like I was a friend who had come to stay for 2 weeks. I thank them for including me in a family function, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I am also thankful for the tour of the parts of the North Coast that I had never seen, which was beautiful. And I will miss my funny conversations with the witty, charming and lovely Ardana. We had a ball together during our "junk snacks" pool lime, she is quite the little character! All in all, when you can stay somewhere, and want to return, and feel like you have left friends when you are gone, it was a good stay. I have no complaints. I wish Gerard and Alana and family well always! To future guests of the Villa in Moka, I think you will have no regrets or complaints with your stay here, and I am sure you will also be a repeat visitor.
