  • Really beautiful space with incredible Portland views! Lance was a fun and wonderful conversationalist. Would absolutely stay in the treehouse again!

  • Lance's place is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. He is such an accommodating host with loads of personality. Super casual, polite, hospitable, clever and quick witted, a very fun conversationalist indeed. He is very respectful of one's privacy and he is also there if you need any recommendations (which are on point as well!) Bukowski (his cat)– also very fun and friendly. We had a blast staying in this breathtaking treehouse.

    Kristine2016-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • One of a kind house with a host and a cat to match. Would highly recommend to anyone with interest in architecture, unique houses, or just staying in Portland(and get lucky with availability) Lance is really nice and so is the cat

    Yakov2016-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lance arrived at the door of his house just as we drove up -- and even carried my large bag to the bottom floor of the treehouse. He showed us around the house and even recommended a restaurant downtown ... St. Jack, which was excellent. This is a magnificent place to survey all of Portland, essentially from the air, and the views from the bedroom and the meditation area (or, at least, that's what we used it for) are unparalleled. The drive up to the property is an experience as well -- something like 54 switchbacks, winding through some of the most beautiful parts of the area. If the place is available the next time I'm in Portland, you can bet this is where I'll call home base. Thanks, Lance -- it was great fun.

  • Lance is a stellar host! I could not have asked for a better inaugural airbnb experience. His property has remarkable views of Portland and we were able to achieve so much respite thanks to the serenity of the treehouse and his kind accommodations. The place is furnished beautifully. Lance is such a fun guy and Barbie is a sweetheart. This was a wonderful experience.

    Joseph2015-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay. Lance did a great job communicating with us and the room was ready by the time we got there even though we arrived much earlier than what we told him. This place should absolutely be on your list of youre planning to stay in portland!!

    Rashmi2015-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lance was very accommodating. He greeted me at the door and helped me carry my luggage for me. He gave me a tour of the tree house and it is beautiful. The tree house looks exactly how it does in the pics. I enjoyed my stay and will be back!

    Britney2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing house in a unique area of Portland. Lance was a great host and I would recommend his place for a quite getaway. The view is breath taking from the tree house too.

Unique hand built cob cottage next to lg. pond w water feature. Lg. fenced and gated yard. Gentle, curving space-made from sand, straw, water and earth . Featured in multiple international publications. The floor is also earthen clay with added radiant heat. Beautiful natural light. It's truly a magical place.
It's a curvilinear earthen structure hand sculpted from water, sand, straw, and clay earth. It features a radial roof with a central pagoda-like skylight. When building the Cob, we used reclaimed and natural materials when ever possible. The insulation in the ceiling is made from pulverized reclaimed blue jeans and the floor is made from the same earthen clay. It has a Dutch door, so you can open the top part for additional ventilation. It also has air conditioning available in the warmer months and a radiant heat floor. The bed is a very comfortable double with a memory foam mattress topper. The bathroom for the cottage is in the main house, about 40 steps to the back door. Inside you’ll find a large sitting room and full kitchen as well as your bath with claw foot tub and shower. These spaces are shared with 2 Airbnb rooms in the house. If you find the bath busy, our full bath is available upstairs on the second floor.
We are located in a sweet older neighborhood in inner SE Portland, built around the turn of the century. The neighborhood is extremely walkable/bikeable, and just two blocks from one of Portland's great restaurant rows, filled with unique locally owned restaurants, coffeehouses, bars, food carts, pot shops, ice cream vendors, pizza joints, clothing retailers, yoga studios and yes, even an old-school hardware store.
  • Cute cottage with a lighted pond out back. The cottage had a wood burning stove though not sure if it was functioning. We were there in summer and didn't need it. The cottage also has an A/C unit which was extremely useful. Our first day was 100 degrees. It's on a lovely quiet street and the SE Division neighborhood is just a short walk away. There is a rental garage in the backyard as well so might bump into another family staying there, but we had no trouble at all and we're not disturbed by them.

  • The best way to experience Portland! Cutest, little place to stay. Walking distance of so many places to eat and drink! Loved our stay

    Katie2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jack and cris's place is SO cool ! It sits beautifully in their garden close to the house. It feels private, luxurious and special. Only their for one night but it was so great. The bed was really comfortable to !!

    Isabelle2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • I really can't say enough about this place. It is adorable and very peaceful. The bed was comfy. I thought it would be weird to have to go out to the house for the bathroom, but it totally wasn't. I loved all the cats around. The location was great. Walking distance to some phenomenal restaurants. I would highly recommend.

  • This place was everything I had imagined it to be and much more. The cottage was extremely Cozy, and comfortable. Both Jack and Cris were very welcoming and showed us their home. It was our first time visiting Portland, and truly loved the experience, can't wait to visit again soon. This is a beautiful they have built and I'm sure you will love your stay as much as we did.

This wonderful, private little gem is just a few easy walking blocks from plentiful drinking, dining, dispensing, yoga & coffee spots. You will be one block from Woodlawn Park, 2 blocks from a bus and a 5 minute drive from the Alberta Shopping and Arts District. It's all so comfortably close by, but not close enough to disturb your relaxing, sweet retreat. Come have it all while living small in this tiny, artsy home away from home!
This space was built as a Model T Garage in 1926 behind a 1915 bungalow but it has had a face lift and has taken on a new life as a cozy, warm freestanding studio made mostly from reclaimed materials. A "tiny house" if you will, sweetly positioned between fruit trees and a garden sitting area. The sleeping loft comfortably sleeps two and there is a futon below the loft where one can enjoy a book while the other naps above. Occasionally you will hear the trains in the distance which adds a touch of nostalgia and you get to wake to the relaxing clucking and cooing of the neighborhood hens as this area has a nice spattering of urban farms and lots of mature trees. For your comfort, this as a "pet dander free" space. No pets, thanks. The table pictured here has been replaced with a "garden shed" counter that houses a small, removable basin sink. There is also a rustic, rough hewn armoire to hang clothes and tuck away your backpacks. The little kitchenette corner is stocked with utensils, a two burner cooktop, a mini fridge, a microwave, coffee and a coffee press. The studio's setup is more akin to a cabin, and as many cabins go, there is no bathroom. You will be given a key to the main house so please feel comfortable enough to come in and use the facilities. By the way, it is insulated, well heated, and stocked with plenty of blankets so it is a wonderful, warm hideaway in the fall and winter months as well. Yep, snuggly wifi too. The yard is plentiful with flowers and fruit bearing trees (figs and delicious yellow plums) in the summertime, as well as an array of veggies in the gardens where you can sit amongst the trees and regroup after a hard day at Powells Books. It's within a 5 minute walk from the heart of Woodlawn which has some fantastic spots to shop, drink, dance, and dine: -Firehouse Restaurant, somewhat romantic with good service -Woodlawn Coffee House, for plenty of people watching -Breakside Brewery, to grab a bite and catch up on the game -Grand Army Tavern, have some pork with your...pork : ) -Good Neighbor Pizza, laid back & late night too -P's & Q's Market serves yummy meals and a few grocery items -The Village Ballroom, for Square Dance and Special events -Uptown Cycles, sales and repairs -Portland Girl, spa day anyone? -Greener Grasses, well-rated dispensary -Koken Market, for almost any beer you want, snacks -Café Eleven, art, coffee, lunch & some pastries -Oregon Public House, the nation's 1st nonprofit pub -The Highwater Mark, rock pub with pool & hip hop on last Fridays -Tamale Boy, authentic & delicious with lots of outside seating -Bassato Gelato, 12 rotating flavors+bagels in the morning -HighWheel Mead, open Thurs-Sunday -(Seasonally) Woodlawn Farmer's Market at Woodlawn Triangle, Sat. 10-2 Downtown is a 15 minute drive. The Alberta Arts District is also just minutes away so you can hop on a bike and be right in the middle of the jam-packed Last Thursday Art Walk or make a day of it with shopping, dinner and some delicious ice cream from the infamous Salt & Straw. Then come "home" to your quieter retreat where you can just relax and lay in the hammock.....ahhhh. And as the area is well surrounded by beautiful, mature trees, you may decide to enjoy dinner in the love seat swing under the pergola and watch the evening sky. It is a wonderful theatre for watching small bats do their sky routine in the distance. Flying in? This spot is only 10 minutes from the airport. And while in Portland, you may want some wheels! Well, this location is very close to Zipcars and you can sign up with them or Car2go on their sites in advance of your stay. Check out Turo or Getaround to grab a vehicle to tool But if you want to explore the city on two wheels, Everybody Bike Rentals or Ebikes ( electric bike rentals) are the spots to hit first (10 min. by bus). They provide helmets and locks too! ***If you don't see the dates available on the calendar that you had hoped for or if you are traveling with more than two people, please check out my other listing (#95313) which is also a private studio at the same location. It is larger and complete with a private entry and bathroom. Just ask me! Parking is close and the livin' is pretty easy. So please get that profile completed, then contact me and come kick up your heels and stay a while! Oh! P.S. Please read the description, house rules and post a pic of you in your profile beforehand just so that everyone is on the same page. Much appreciated. Cheers!

  • Andrée's garden studio is cozy and adorable. I had a great stay my five year old daughter said she felt like she was sleeping on a cloud. Andrée is very easy to communicate with and was a great hostess.

  • My boyfriend and I had such a fantastic time in Portland and couldn't have imagined a better place to stay than Andrée's adorable garden studio. She was an excellent and accommodating host, and I hope to stay with her again on my next trip up north. I recommend renting bikes during your stay-- they made it so easy to get around the city from this location!

  • Andrée is a fantastic host and super friendly! Initially we had to work out how we were going to check in because of scheduling conflicts but Andrée made the whole process smooth and easy for us. The studio itself is exactly how it is described and what you see in the pictures. Honestly, it looks even better in person. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet, unique, and fun experience.

  • Andree was a great host and a cool lady! We got in a little later than expected our first night but she was really welcoming. The little house is very cute and cozy and has everything you'd need for a weekend getaway. Andree was so kind and suggested some really fun things but also lets you have your privacy and space. Thanks for hosting us and Andee!

With just the right amount of space for two, this studio has everything that makes a house feel like a home: a fireplace, a full kitchen, King Memory foam Bed, oak floors, handmade furniture, cable tv, and a private entrance.
This studio is a welcoming space in the center of an historic neighborhood that offers a unique perspective on the city of Portland. Ask me for in-depth info on where to go and what to see in the Irvington neighborhood, the Alberta Arts District, and other parts of Northeast Portland! Over the years, I’ve gotten to know quite a few incredible places to eat, drink, shop, and explore here. Located at the hub of some of Portland’s most interesting neighborhoods, this studio places the whole city at your fingertips. But adventure can be tiring, and the studio offers ample opportunity to put your feet up. Portland can get nippy at night, and a real wood fireplace, stocked with firewood from locally harvested and dried urban hardwood trees, is the perfect way to warm up and feel at home. The apartment has high ceilings and a great fireplace; it’s minimally decorated but has all the important things: a king bed, a couch with a coffee table, a small desk, a dresser and extra shelves, and a kitchen table. The kitchen comes fully stocked with the essentials for cooking a real meal, and the bathroom always has towels, soap and shampoo. The space is located on the first floor of a large 1910 home, which was converted to an eight-plex in the 1940s to adapt to the demands of WWII. I have lived in Irvington for 14 years and Portland for 25, and this house is one of the most unique that I’ve seen.
The Irvington neighborhood, now only a ten minute bike ride from downtown, was once a trolley-car suburb to the just-fully-developed West side. Designated a historic district by the National Register of Historic Places in 2010, Irvington is filled with early 20th century homes that have been preserved in their original states. Irvington has become a livable hub of Northeast Portland as a whole, with shops and restaurants of all kinds, within walking distance, surrounding the neighborhood. Irvington proper boasts more than a few community and culinary destinations of its own.
  • Listing was accurate to actual studio. Very clean and easy access.

  • Jason’s place is such a fantastic place. Very clean, spacious, and in a good area. We had a blast.

  • Was a great location! Lots of parking.

    Chelsea2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • I travel with Wicked The Musical and I was in Portland with the show for 3 weeks. Jason's place was awesome. The pad is rad equipped with anything you might need. The neighborhood is filled with tree lined streets which are great for walks f you travel with your pup as I do. You really can't beat the location. As I had heard the traffic could be pretty bad in Portland, I never had many issues getting in and out of downtown for work. Jason is super hospitable and will make sure you have an awesome stay in Portland

    Ryan2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was perfect for my short visit to Portland. It's in a charming older home in a really lovely neighborhood full of other beautiful historic homes. I walked to nearby coffee shops/ diners in the mornings (there are several within 10-15 minutes) and enjoyed the quiet, tree-lined streets. Getting around with Uber and Lyft was convenient and nothing was too far away. The apartment is no-frills but still cute and clean. I slept well- the bed was comfy and it was quiet at night. Overall, a great option for a single person or couple looking for a good value!

    Caitie2018-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We felt right at home in this space. It was comfortable, quiet, and clean. Loved the neighborhood and all of its old trees and charm.

    Katie2018-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing private studio. The bed was so comfortable and the neighborhood was beautiful. We really had a lovely time here.

    Sarah2015-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I really enjoyed staying at Jason's house on 16th Street. The photos are an accurate description of the place: lots of sunshine coming through the windows; charming vintage furniture; convenient kitchen; and small, but functional bathroom. The neighborhood is filled with gorgeous old homes and it's a short walk down to Broadway for "chocolate con churros" for breakfast at 180churros in the morning. Yum! The bed was really comfortable and we slept well there. The few times I had questions, Jason and/or his assistant, Tiffany, were quick to respond. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family who value charm and a home-like atmosphere. We had a fire in the fireplace one night, which was lovely! We stayed a whole week and felt very comfortable and welcome during our time there.

Laurelhurst is an historic old Portland neighborhood with beautiful homes, street trees and a huge park a few blocks away designed by the Olmsted's who designed Central Park in NYC. You will see how homes in Laurelhurst are each very different and unique from craftsmen with large porches to smaller bungalows with beautiful gardens.
  • My stay at the Quaint English Cottage Garden apartment exceeded the expectations that I had. My stay was only three nights, but they were a very comfortable three nights. Sue was very patient with my many questions, since I was a first time AirBNB user. The manual contained all of the information I needed, and made making the check-out process very easy. My friend and I enjoyed following the instructions that guided us to the entrance of the apartment. It was like following instructions to a little secret garden. The lights in the garden made arriving to the property at night that much more charming. The gardens were just as impressive during the day! The apartment was very clean and contained everything I needed. Every single thing made me feel very welcomed. I didn't get to meet Sue and Bob, but met Karen the house sitter who was very nice. Snowball provided a few photo opportunities in the garden. The bed was comfortable and I appreciated the fan that was provided, since I enjoy sleeping with white noise. Staying in a piece of Portland history was also something I enjoyed. The location was close to the airport and to other places in Portland that made my visit very enjoyable. The neighborhood felt very safe and was a delight to walk around. If you're looking for a secure place to stay in Portland that has all of the conveniences you could ever need, treat yourself to this little charming piece of Portland history.

  • A very pleasant stay. Welcoming hosts and a nice, cozy apartment in a charming house. Excellent for one or two people for almost any length of stay. Close to necessary stores and transportation. Very enjoyable.

  • This Airbnb is cozy & charming in a beautiful Portland neighborhood. It's a basement apartment that is separate from the main house. There's a complete kitchen with a fridge, stove and oven we used to prepare side dishes for a Thanksgiving meal at my son's house nearby. Sue and Bob are gracious hosts and very attentive to our needs but also gave us our privacy. We plan to stay again when coming back to Portland to visit the kids and grandchildren.

    Steve2018-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • What is there to say that the previous reviews haven't already said? Bob & Sue are wonderful hosts and they made us feel right at home. They pay attention to all the little details, and the apartment was furnished with plenty of little touches that helped us feel like we never left our house.

    Gordon2017-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • It took a little while, we called all three phone numbers, but finally we were able to check in when we drove to the house. The house is gorgeous and the hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating. There was an ice storm during the time we stayed.

    Kathleen2016-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Bob and Sue's clean and cozy cottage was a home away from home! Upon my arrival I was delighted to note the beautifully lush neighborhood. During my stay I was able to walk to the nearby Laurelhurst Park-- a perfect place to enjoy a pie picnic or a good book from Powell's near the lake. Located next to several local businesses such as The Pie Spot and Blue Star Donuts and just a short ride away from Downtown, Bob and Sue's cottage was the perfect choice for a little Portland getaway (:

    Mela2016-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sue and Bob’s beautiful brick home in Laurelhurst is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Portland. Their garden is lovely, the accommodations comfortable, and they are super friendly and helpful/informative. Many great little restaurants in and around Laurelhurst and a 3 minute walk to the bus stop to catch the #19 bus for a 25 minute drive into downtown Portland. We rented bikes there one day and took a great 14 mile loop ride along the river.

Everything you need is here at our brand new guesthouse loft: a luxurious, lofted queen bedroom; high ceilings with floods of natural light, a modern kitchen, full bath with heated tile, comfy sleeper sofa for extra guests, and Stumptown Coffee with organic cream. The loft rests at the back of the property, one block from bustling Division St, and short blocks from restaurants, coffeeshops, & the Woodsman Tavern, named “One of America’s Best Bars,” by Esquire Magazine.
The loft is located in our backyard in Southeast Portland. While we are only steps away if you need us, the space is very private. In fact, guests report that they forget they are in the middle of the city when they stay in our space! We live in a desirable and fun neighborhood, and parking can be tight! Guests usually find parking within a block or two of our house. At night or during busy times of the day, parking can be found within two short blocks. Guests may feel free to use our driveway for loading/unloading. We do not have a TV in the guesthouse, but offer excellent wifi access.
Our neighborhood has everything you will need, mostly within a five-minute walk! And if you want to visit a different part of the city, there is convenient public transportation around the corner. Check out excellent coffeeshops blocks away (Good Coffee and Stumptown), delicious and intimate restaurants (Bete Lukas, Mi Mero Mole, The Woodsman), or walk up to Mt. Tabor Park. If you're into yoga, there's an awesome space (Yoga Union) around the corner.
  • Both Brian and Laurel were wonderful hosts! Their place is very clean and cutely decorated. It highly recommend it if your passing through Portland.

    Carlos2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in Laurel & Brian's unit. Check in was super easy, the place was perfectly located for us, walkable from a quite a bit, and central and drivable to everything else we wanted or needed to do while in Portland. The unit was clean, comfortable, spacious, and well equipped with lots of nice little details that made it a perfect spot. The bed was super comfy too. :)

    Craig2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Laurel and Brian's place was lovely! We had a great time staying there, the location was good, and their recommendations were spot on. Would definitely stay there again.

  • Laurel and Brian's place was perfect for recovering from life's stresses. The little touches from the Stumptown coffee to the scented soaps were thoughtful. This Airbnb is a quiet location not far from the eateries and shops on Hawthorne street. We would definitely recommend it to friends coming through town.

  • As others have stated this space is lovely. Brand new, clean and spacious. Felt safe in the neighborhood, parking was easy enough to find. Was enjoyable to have some music in the living space, a very comfortable bed and ability to to a load of wash on my journey. Very enjoyable and would stay here again

  • This was one of our best Airbnb experiences to date! Laurel and Brian's apartment is full of light and has everything you need, including a supremely comfortable bed. We loved the neighborhood and enjoyed walking/biking to many of our favorite restaurants in Portland. It was easy to coordinate our details with Laurel, and she went out of her way to meet us and welcome us in person, which was so nice. Overall, it was a perfect getaway weekend, and we would gladly stay with them again!

Where Bali meets Portland. Come relax in this newly, beautifully designed, private mixed use accommodation. Just five short blocks from Portland's hip N Williams district. A rooftop deck.
I have a total of five rooms, each listed separately in this unique mixed-use building where I also live and work. You will enter just past the Ned Ludd front patio via a private, secure, gated entrance off of MLK at NE Failing street and follow the stairway up to the second level. This is the larger of the three rooms. Each room is newly refurbished and furnished with beautiful, responsibly sourced tropical salvage out of Indonesia and locally re-purposed wood/trim doors and windows. Your private room comes with a window, a wall-mounted flatscreen t.v., small refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, free wi-fi an armoire, an ornate sink carved out of stone, down pillows, down comforters, a king-sized posturepedic mattress and zen colored walls that might just make you think you are in... Bali?
NEPO (aka NE Portland) is hip and cool and like so many hip Portland neighborhoods–it is ever-expanding and reinventing itself. New restaurants, shops, boutiques and businesses are popping up all over. Whether you are looking for a place to lay your head for the night while you get out and explore during the day, or you are just looking for a place you can hole up and relax, we've got you covered. The options and amenities you will find here in your little oasis in NEPO are plentiful.
  • My husband and I had a great stay at Timothy's place. The few times we interacted with Tim he was very courteous and kind. The room was lovely. We had one of the largest of his guest rooms which I highly recommend booking. It is easily double the space of the smaller rooms but didn't cost a whole lot more. The huge king size bed and comfy pillows alone made booking this room worth every penny. Our room also came with a microwave and a mini fridge. I was so impressed and grateful to find that there. We were able to go nearby to New Seasons and pick up some groceries. We were able to make oatmeal in the mornings and keep snacks in the fridge to have between meals. We bought fruit and sandwiches that we were able to store in our room and take on our hikes. This made it so convenient and easy for us to just get up and go in the mornings without having to stop. And it helped to save money so we could spend extra on very nice dinners out on the town. The neighborhood was perfect for us. It was a short drive from all the fun places we visited in Portland. There is an Avis rental car place very close which allowed us to take a short $13 Uber ride from the airport to the rental place. (Traveler's tip* the cost of a car rental is cut almost in half if you book it at a location outside of the airport) This is the location that we used and it worked perfectly because it was cheap and on our way to and from the airport. (Website hidden by Airbnb) The only thing that I didn't care for very much was the fact that all the guests share the bathroom and showers. However I will say that it is set up in the most convenient way possible. All of the guest rooms are situated along one side of a hallway wall kind of like a hotel set up. Lavatories are on the other side of the wall across from the rooms. Two doors lead to 2 different showers and another two doors lead to 2 different half baths (toilet/sink). That way 4 people can actually be getting ready at the same time without disturbing each other. An added bonus was that we had our own sink inside of our room so I was able to brush my teeth and wash my face without ever leaving the room. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would definitely book it again in the future.

  • Timothy was a great host and very helpful. I really love the area as well!

    Sarah2017-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay at Timothy's place during my trip to pick up my daughter at University of Portland. It is 10 minutes away from campus and you do not need to get on a freeway!! It is also a nice walk to Mississippi Ave. where we strolled through funky shops and eateries. I loved the open air feel of the place. Beautiful bed and furnishings -- especially the vessel sink made of petrified wood! Timothy is readily available and very helpful. You have your own key to your room and you can come and go without disturbing anyone! The rooftop patio is lovely -- serene spot to have a glass of wine or morning coffee. I plan to return on my visits to see my daughter!

    Sharon2015-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Timothy was a great host. The place is great. The neighbourhood is really cool. Right near a frequent bus stop and a couple books from some really cool streets. The bed was super comfortable and the space worked really well to hang out in and have privacy at the same time. It was excessively hot in Portland but the AC kept us cool all the time. The bikes were a great help to get around. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Judson2015-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Tim's space is welcoming, excellently-located, and beautifully decorated! The bed was very comfortable and being able to go just downstairs to a variety of quality food/coffee, was clutch! I'd recommend his spot w/out reservation! Thanks for helping to make my stay in Pdx memorable, Tim.

    Matthew2015-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Timothy was a great host. He was always available, and a great resource to know more about the city. The room was just as gorgeous as the pictures and it was in a phenomenal part of Portland.

    Ryan & Morgan2015-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • The listing was very accurate and he made us feel very at home. All the amenities were very very clean and modern. As a whole, the experience left my girlfriend and I very satisfied with Timothy's services and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

    Austen2016-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • The beds are very comfy and the room has a great vibe. It was in a walkable distance to restaurants and shops, specifically Mississippi Street. Timothy approved our stay within an hour of us booking, we did not give much notice so he was very accommodating. Highly recommended!

Enjoy Portland in our beautiful, modern guest house. You will be located in a quiet neighborhood nestled between the heart of downtown St Johns and the University of Portland.
Hello! We have a 600 sq. ft, bright, modern guest house tucked away behind our main house. During your stay you will have access to a fully stocked kitchen including: coffee and 3 ways to brew it, microwave, range, refrigerator, toaster, dishware, pots & pans, and baking goods. The space is loaded with windows which lets in a lot of natural light. The lofted area has a queen size bed, large closet, desk area and full bathroom. The space is ideal for 2 people, but it could certainly work for 3. There's a twin blow-up mattress or the couch for the third person. The house is filled with reclaimed wood, handcrafted light fixtures and artistic touches - make sure to check out all of the pictures!
We are located in the University Park neighborhood of Portland - about 1 mile away of the downtown St Johns neighborhood and 1 mile away from the the University of Portland The University Park neighborhood is within walking distance, or a short drive, to parks - including Cathedral Park - bars, food carts, coffee shops, restaurants, a fitness center (Westcoast Fitness) a farmers market (only runs during the summer months), antique/thrift stores, and various other shops. Forest Park, Portland's largest park that's filled with hiking and biking trails, is located 1.5 miles away, directly across the St. Johns Bridge. Please note: Our house is not located within walking distance of downtown Portland!
  • Heidi and Marendas loft is amazing! It was so cute and cozy, perfect for a weekend in. We had everything that we needed right there in the loft. The location is great because you a pretty close to the restaurant/shopping places in Portland, but far enough that the whole weekend was very quiet and peaceful. They have dogs on the property which concerned me a little (not being a dog person :)) but they were extremely well behaved and quiet. I only saw them through the doors a few times and never heard a peep (or a bark)!

    Timory2015-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this loft is perfect. Heidi and Marenda were awesome and responsive, the location is close enough to anything you'd want but still out of the way enough to be totally relaxing after a day out and about. Oh and did I mention it is gorgeous? Our whole stay my wife said "I could live here" approx every 17 minutes. They really thought of everything when outfitting and decorating the house, you'll want for nothing.

    Nate2015-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome location and cozy spot for a getaway! Great hosts and hospitality :)

    Kimberlee2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! It lived up to the hype and then some. Tons of character and charm! Very convenient location, within 15-20 to most popular places and easy access without fear of disturbing the hosts. Highly recommended!

    James2015-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Marenda and Heidi have such a great space! My husband and I were very impressed by the design, comfort and convenience of this lovely loft! Nice little extras were a treat, and we really felt like it was a home away from home. Cozy, comfortable, peaceful and well equipped! We would definitely stay again if we return to Portland! Thank you!!

    Melissa2017-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first ever trip to Portland. I searched through the site and only looked for "wow" kind of places. The loft design with the concrete floor and upstair bedroom caught my eye upon browsing. It's not enough to just have a good-looking place but for it to be well-furnished. This AirBnb was a splurge since I appreciate places with modern clean style. The check-in and check-out processes were a breeze. Heidi and Marenda were so quick to respond. The neighborhood was nice and quiet with tons of parking for my rental I got from a few streets over at Enterprise. Bathroom's a bit small, but the design of the space was unique. The bed was also comfy. I enjoyed waking up to the sound of rain on the cool skylights. Great professional AirBnb hosts with a wonderful place to share!

    Shirley2018-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gorgeous place with every amenity you could possibly need. Heidi and Marenda gave my husband and I plenty of space but we knew that they were there if we needed anything. We had a wonderful time here and would gladly recommend it to anyone planning to stay in the area!

    Mercedes2018-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Heidi and Marenda's loft house was just the perfect place for my recent stay. It was well set up for preparing my meals, and was just the right amount of space. The yard is really wonderful, and I only wish it had not been so cold so that I could have been outside a bit more. You will love staying here!

Spacious bedroom with clawfoot tub/shower bathroom in a beautiful 1927 craftsman home. Located a quick 5 miles north of downtown, we are 10 minutes miles to the Yellow Max & across the street from #75 bus both of which have you downtown in about 30-35 minutes. Parking is very easy to find on the streets that surround the house. We are LGBTQ and 420 friendly (outside only). A friendly, quiet dog lives here.
Our home runs on 100% renewable energy but we even provide a portable A/C when high temps exceed 80 degrees. Guests have told us the queen bed is extremely comfortable and the blackout blinds make it feel like you could sleep all day. Seasonally adjusted duvets keep you comfortable year-round. Extra seating gives you space to enjoy the TV equipped with Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon Prime or maybe even read a book! This bedroom is on the main floor of our home and has a bathroom with clawfoot tub and shower with hair dryer, basic amenities and room for your gear. You may have light use of our kitchen (easy breakfasts and warming leftovers - no frying or baking).
Our neighborhood is diverse and friendly with quaint vintage shops, quirky bars and excellent restaurants. It is conveniently located near I-5 and public transport. We have a 87 point walkscore and are considered a biking paradise! Just 5 miles north of Downtown and nestled in the historic Kenton community close to shops and dining, we are within easy walking distance to public transit (Yellow Max line and several buses) and a 10-30 minute car ride downtown with great N/S-bound freeway access (depending upon traffic). We are 25-35 minutes away from downtown by bus or Yellow Max train line. Both are within six blocks of the house with a bus stop less than a block away.
  • There were so many great perks about staying in Maylene and Charity's place. First, the house is gorgeous, very well kept and clean, and felt like home away from home. They were easy to communicate with, check in/out was easy (they left very detailed instructions in the bedroom which were easy to follow). I only ran into them once as I was (Website hidden by Airbnb) felt like I had the house to myself. The bathroom was beautiful and water pressure was heavenly. The location of the house itself is a little far from downtown if you're planning to take the MAX (about 30-40 min away) but only 10-15 minutes via car/uber. Tons of street parking also. Overall, one of the best airbnb's I've had the pleasure of staying at. Would recommend to everyone I know who is planning a trip to Portland :)

    Jen2017-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved the Burnside room! The entire house was so welcoming and warm. Maylene was full of awesome recommendations for great food and sights to see. We made friends with the other couple who were staying in the room opposite us. All in all, probably our best airbnb experience to date!

  • My boyfriend and I had a pleasant stay here. We didn't get to meet the host, but we still (Email hidden by Airbnb) munication was easy, and that made everything go smoothly. Also, the host is well organized. We appreciate the organization. There are many amenities provided, and we love the claw foot bath tub! The selling point for us was that the home is close to public transportation into downtown. I would like to add that the home is even more beautiful in person. We highly recommend staying here. It is a guaranteed good time!

Nestled in the private backyard of our family home, a neighborhood hub. The round, rustic, romantic MudHut hides in a secret garden overlooking the St. Johns bridge and sparkling river, near Cathedral Park, Forest Park, downtown St. Johns, canoe and hiking trails... Firepit, permaculture gardens, loaner bikes, community life, view!
Our hut was handbuilt by family, friends, and community with great love and serves as a guesthouse, homeschool hut, sauna and sanctuary. Wood-heated and candle-lit, it's a tranquil, rustic sleeping space. I recommend staying two nights for an immersive experience in the relaxing atmosphere.
We're in St. Johns, Portland's northern-most neighborhood and a small town of its own with a strong community identity here. Many families here trace their roots back to James John, the pioneer founder of St. Johns who is memorialized all over the neighborhood. Downtown St. Johns is a few blocks away, with plenty of restaurants (Thai, vegan, soulfood, chinese, pub grub, pizza, deli, breakfast, coffee & gelato), an old movie theater and shopping (lots of vintage). Cathedral Park, three blocks away, is gorgeous and photogenic with access to the Willamette River and the awesome overhead presence of the gothic St. Johns Bridge that you can see from the hut. We're also close to a lot of natural areas for urban hiking and paddling. Forest Park, full of trails and old growth forest, is right across the bridge. Just north of here is Kelley Point Park, the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers; Smith and Bybee Lakes, a wetlands for birding and paddling; and Sauvie Island, with beaches, farms, nurseries, hiking, fishing, & birding. We're on the Pacific migratory fly-way, so lots of raptor action around here. Bald eagles, peregrine falcons and hawks swoop by regularly.
  • Our stay at ivy's mud hut was no less than a magical experience. The hut itself was quite beautiful, hand built with lots of character and appreciation for aesthetics. A wood stove kept the place quite warm and comfy, ivy was kind enough to start us a fire. We had an amazing view of the St. John's bridge and the river. There was an outside living room, a hot tub, and plenty of chickens and a super friendly kitty named potato that kept us company! Ivy was gracious, easy to talk to and made us feel welcomed and honored. We would recommend anyone visiting Portland to check out this space!

    Nikki2013-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • a wonderful enviting and warm place to stay. i found myself loving the kitchen and the hot tub. the hut itself was so very comforting.

    Keenan2015-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Ivy was amazing! She made sure that we were completely taken care of and had everything that we needed once we arrived at the hut and through out our stay. The Mud Hut was well photographed and described just as it was. The neighborhood and surrounding area was quaint, quiet with a view that was breathtaking. I loved that I got a chance to stay in a different manner than one is to expect of Portland, OR. When I travel I am looking for an experience. Ivy's Mud Hut is that experience, that will make a trip memorable and exciting.

    Adam2014-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute hut, Ivy was very attentive and kind as a host. The chickens were fun to be around!

    Chantelle2016-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Ivy's place was amazing. Everything was as described in the posting. The mudhut had no electricity but there were candles that really enhanced the experience, as well as the fireplace that kept us warm throughout the night. We enjoyed the hot tub during the night with some wine, which had a really romantic view of the river and one of the bridges. There were some trains that went by but it was soothing to hear them in the distance. in the morning we used their outdoor kitchen to reheat some left overs and enjoyed breakfast. It was kind of chilly because it was outdoors. All and all we were very satisfied with our experience and would come back again, more so in the summer. Thanks Ivy!

    Samuel2016-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was everything we could have hoped for. The welcome was literally warm - Ivy had the fire going when we arrived in the cold rain. The hot tub boasts a stellar view, and all things were lovely.

    James2015-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • The mud hut was such a wonderful place to stay. It is tucked in among the fruit trees and has a beautiful view of St. John's bridge. Ivy and her family were very accommodating, by lighting candles in the hut for our arrival, offering us some of their delicious home-brewed ginger beer and showing us around the property. Peter and I would love to return for a longer visit.

    Annette2015-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Ivy’s place is amazing! We loved spending the night in the cozy candle-lit mud hut. We only stayed one night but next time we’re stayin multiple nights! This space was very warm and inviting and Ivy was so sweet and had us all set up for the night. DEFINITELY coming back here again.

  • Christian was a very nice and responsive host. However, I was not a fan of his space and the wifi was a little iffy. About 20 mins outside of Portland, which is not too bad if you have a vehicle. For what we paid it was fine.

  • Ani's Tiny home was perfect for our vacation! It housed 3 of us for a week without feeling tight or closed in. It was very clean and had everything we could have needed, from towels in the bathroom, to a washer and dryer, to a well equipped kitchen. It made for an easy vacation. The home is 20 minutes from the PDX airport and within a 10 minute drive from downtown Portland and is central to other local shops and restaurants. The house sits right behind the main house but it has a very private feel to it. We had our own entrance and the neighborhood was very quiet. There is plenty of parking along the streets and the house provides one decent sized spot right next to it. I would absolutely stay here again! While, unfortunately, we did not get to introduce ourselves to our host (due to schedules not lining up), she was easy to reach via email and cellphone and was very clear and informative when asked questions about the home. Overall this is a great place! I would encourage others to check it out and give it a try wether you are from out of town or just looking for a nice stay-cation.

  • Ani's place was very cute, clean and fully equipped. It is located fairly close to the Alberta Arts District and Mississipi Avenue-both of which are hip areas that I highly recommend. My only "critiques" of the place were 1) the stairs were a little scary to walk up (Ani does make this clear in her manual) and 2) there was no TV-which isn't the end of the world but might have been nice. Overall, Ani was very responsive and we really enjoyed our stay!

  • Loved this tiny home. Strongly recommend if visiting Portland!

    Hussein2017-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • This little house was cute, clean, and comfy! Great location and very comfortable. My only warning is that the stairs were a little awkward (I didn't really think about it when looking at the pictures) so would not recommend if you have children, any physical limitations, or tendencies to sleep walk! It was super convenient to have the washer/dryer and small kitchen available. And the parking is a great feature too.

  • Traveled to Portland with wife and 3 y/o daughter, for business. My wife was attending conferences in the northern edge of Portland and we figured this spot would be in between where she needed to go routinely, and where my daughter and I could find entertainment. We went assuming that we would be using public transit daily, and we did. Public Transit and Uber were readily available and the location seemed safe and easy to get to...It was our first time in Portland, and I think this was a fair compromise between being outside of all the hustle and bustle, while still being close enough that it was convenient to simply use the transportation options (no need for a rental car). The home offers the minimal amenities a young family would need (washer/dryer, capacity to cook breakfast), especially in our situation where we were almost always out and about. The bedding was comfortable! The steep stairs to the loft can be nerve-wrecking if you travel with a small child that likes to climb on everything, but luckily my daughter is pretty good about complying with out requests to stay off the stairs. I would recommend to other small families on a case-by-case basis...if your toddler is the "wild child" type, this might not be the safest option, but our stay was smooth. We appreciate the hospitality and would certainly consider re-visiting if we have another need to stay in northern Portland.

    Christian2017-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Cool tiny house! Beautiful and clean. Our only issue is that we came during an August heat wave (it reached 108 degrees) and the tiny house doesn't have air conditioning. There are plenty of fans and windows, but it got pretty hot. That being said, I assume this isn't a problem 99% of the year and the tiny house is super cool!

    Joel2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • So everyone should know that Ani and Bryan's place is great for a number of reasons. Its a really nice house. For a tiny house I expected it to be crammed in and you can't tell from the pics, but it is very open, not cramped at all, much bigger than I expected on the inside. The location is perfect! Its a five minute walk to the light rail which runs regular all day long...and the walk takes you past a "Heavenly Donuts" which is open 24 hours a day. Sooo good! I ate about 3 donuts a day. So you can get anywhere in Portland no problem, we took the train downtown and back all three days. As well I used one of their bikes, "silverado" I called him, and biked all over town. Biking only took me 15 or 20 minutes to get downtown, its kinda downhill into the city. You can also take your bike on the train. Its the perfect place to stay and close to Heavenly Donuts. I highly recommend staying here.

  • Very cute home, had the whole place to ourselves and had no trouble checking in. Listing is as described with a nice kitchen and living room area. Also Ani was quick to respond to all questions we had during and after our stay. We felt well taken care of and were happy with our stay.

  • Staying with Cynthia & Chris was great, we'd happily stay again.

    Jessica2017-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time staying with airbnb. This was the best trip. I couldn't imagine it to go any better. Cynthia and Chris are very friendly and very accommodating. They have a beautiful house. Their pets are sooo sweet and friendly and well mannered. I'll definitely want to stay with them on my next trip back.

    Colleen2015-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for almost two weeks and regularly used the kitchen. Cynthia and Chris are very nice people, and they have very friendly cat and dog. No problems at all.

    Michael2017-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • I couldnt have found a better place and better hosts. Would recommend it to everyone

    Saurav2016-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Cynthia and Chris's place for just under two weeks when I relocated for work recently. It was a stressful time for me personally and they made me feel very much at home. The house is beautiful and is very close to both I-5 and I-205 so I was surprised at how quickly I was able to get to work, Portland, and neighborhoods where I was looking for a permanent place to live. It was incredibly clean, quiet, beautifully decorated, and there are some nice streets for walking. I am a light sleeper so the quietness of the neighborhood and the entire family was important and I was never once woken up in the middle of the night (not even by the cat or dog). If I wasn't yet awake, I never knew that they had left for work because of how quiet they were. The bed is perfect and the best part was their well behaved and loving furry family members, Cash and Izzy. If you want some attention, they will welcome you with open paws, but if you prefer to be left alone, they won't bother you as they get plenty of attention from Cynthia and Chris!

    Sandra2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • The room was exactly conform to the pictures, very nice. Perfect to have a private bathroom. Cynthia and Chris were at disposal to give us information or recommandations about restaurant addresses, good advices to discover beers at Portland (25min away from the center).

    Fabien2016-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Cynthia was prompt in her communication. She welcomed me into her home and took time to show me around. The room was clean, bright with a comfortable bed. Very quiet location. It was hot in Vancouver the evening I was there so it was great that her home was air-conditioned. Cynthia has two wonderful/friendly pets.

We would love you to stay at the Arnold guesthouse! Conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood near PDX airport (7.5 miles), I-205 and restaurants/grocery/shops. The guesthouse is an additional dwelling unit to our home and is separated by a staircase that is closed (very little noise and private). It has a private driveway and keypad entry. The unit is a studio style space, with kitchenette, lounge and dining areas. It has a a separate bathroom and walk-in closet with plenty of storage.
The kitchenette includes: coffeemaker (we supply coffee, sugar and half n half), counter-top elements, convection oven (can bake a 12" pizza and brownies) that also functions as a microwave, mini-fridge and a variety of pots, pans, utensils for basic cooking needs. We stock shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom for guest use.
We live in a quite, friendly neighborhood. Within 5mins drive is a Fred Myer, Trader Joe's, Cinetopia (lazyboy style movie theatre) and numerous eating places including Chipotle, Mod pizza, Starbucks, Sharis and numerous other restaurants. We are a 3 min walk from a large park with mature trees and a playground.
  • Great spot thats clean and meets everything as advertised

  • Clean and tidy space.

  • If you are looking for privacy, look no further! Separate driveway that fits 2 cars in length.

    Marie2018-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The place had everything we could want and need. Extremely quite and felt like home. The host had a binder full of restaurants and entertainment. They responded quickly to every message.

    Rachelle2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • I marked the location 4 out of 5, but as I clarified in the rationale, is merely a trade off of staying in a quiet neighborhood in a city. Other than that, they have a walk in closet, first aid kit, and their local guide. It felt like it was somewhere we could stay for a couple of weeks. Clean, simple, and comfortable. Just don't have bulky amenities like full kitchen and washer/dryer. I felt good coming "home" after all day of adventure.

    Kotei2018-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The space was clean, comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood. Travis and Rachel were quick to respond and gave good recommendations for breweries in the area. Great price and definitely would stay again!

  • Just cause I was disappointed with my stay, I am a very light sleeper and could have used more details about staying here, i.e; Multiple renters already on property, highway exits and entry tricky. Some are NB only, others SB only. Otherwise place was clean and full kitchen(refrigerator, stove, microwave) made making meals easy

  • We loved staying here. It was quiet, clean, private and beautifully decorated. Very enjoyable!

  • This is a very cute & stylish place. It had a full kitchen which was very nice, along with a great tv & watching options. It is in a very quiet neighborhood which was nice. The only negatives I would have are that during our stay the upstairs neighbors played very loud music for an extended period of time & we were able to hear it through the walls; we were also able to hear any talking as well. Other than the brief period of noisy neighbors I’d say that this is a great place to stay & Rachel is a fantastic host whom I’d be glad to book with in the future.

  • The Grey Getaway is a really awesome place to stay in. The simplicity, cleanliness, peace, quiet and the security of the place is what we really loved during our stay. If you book the Grey Getaway, you would have the place to yourself. Sleeping after a long day of travel will be comfortable enough with the bedroom’s air conditioner and the super comfy bed. Rachel is also an amazing host for being always available when in need and knows to give her guests their privacy during the stay.

  • Definitely a great place to stay! Stephan and his wife were so accommodating and hospitable! My credit card had been stolen a couples day prior to my stay, and after going back and forth with my bank, I ended up having it sent to Stephan's place. Not only was Stephan very understanding of my situation and great at communicating, his wife even signed for the package when UPS dropped it off while I was out exploring Seattle. Also the bed is VERY comfortable, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud! Definitely recommend staying here. Portland is about 20 minute drive away and the Amtrak station I took to get to Seattle is about a $7 Lyft ride away.

    Fatima2018-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at Stephan's! Beautiful and comfortable little apartment in a great location, walking distance to uptown Vancouver. I'd definitely stay here again.

  • I was in town for a sports tournament so what I needed was a stress free place to stay that allowed me to get plenty of rest, and that's exactly what I got. a cozy and comfortable place to get some r&r between competitions that was located near both Vancouver and portland. check in was such a breeze and Stephan was always available for any questions. super comfy bed and a great a/c ams fan combo for the hot weekend.

    Erica2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place so much! It was a home away from home (and a lot nicer)! It was a lot more spacious than expected and it had everything we needed and more! A keuring, mini fridge, microwave, plenty of towels, Nintendo classics, Netflix, dyson heaters and fans, comfy bed, cute and clean decor, good wifi, easy parking, desk to do work at (thank god I didn’t have any work to do). Stephan was an excellent host and was quick to respond for my questions and accomdations. The August security system was super easy to use! This place is in a cute neighborhood close to the freeway and Portland. We truly loved it here! Stay here if you can, way better than a hotel! I highly recommend! :)

  • This space was just as described! Centrally located in a cute and quiet neighborhood...this place was perfect for our 3 night stay with me, my hubby, and 5 year old . More spacious than I thought it would be which was perfect for our kiddo to sprawl out. Comfy beds and quick drives to Portland anything...plus the main st just a few blocks down has great shops and restaurants, too. Check in and out was a breeze. Thank you Jill for providing a home away from home for me and my family!

    Catie2018-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is just adorable and very comfortable. Decorated nicely...with two beds and a couch & ottoman. The bed was very comfortable. Definitely use the A/C in the summer...when we visited it was almost 100 outside. It was easy to turn on the A/C and adjust the thermostat to our comfort...and very much appreciated, as we noticed it got very uncomfortable when we turned it off. The kitchen is basic with a good size refrigerator, sink & microwave. We brought our own blender to make smoothies and greens drinks and ate meals in town, which is only a few blocks into downtown Vancouver. Great location. There is ample room in the closet for plenty of clothes. We did not meet the hosts...but their AirBnB is quite nice and we were very comfortable and happy staying there.

  • Jill was a wonderful host and had a lovely home we very much enjoyed staying in. Check-in was very smooth and Jill was stellar with her communication during our whole stay. The home was cozy and cute and made for a very comfortable home for our short trip to Portland. The airbnb was in a great location with plenty of parking and only a short drive away from downtown Portland. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend!

  • It was an absolute delight to stay at Corey's cozy and tastefully decorated home. Corey was incredibly hospitable and made us feel very comfortable. Would highly recommend staying!

  • Corey wasn't home when I arrived and had left detailed instructions that made finding my room easy and accessible. It was just like the pictures and the house was shared with other airbnb'ers. It was an easy place to have my dog with me and Corey's dog was easy to get to know. I took a beautiful evening walk around the neighborhood which was delightful. It was everything that it was said to be. Thanks Corey!

  • Corey was a great host. His place is in a pleasant neighborhood, accommodations are good all around, and the pool and hot tub are a nice touch if you're visiting in the summer. Highly recommended.

  • Great host. Made it smooth as ever to get things figured. Cute house that has everything you'd need. Plenty of parking and only about 10 minutes from downtown.

The perfect place if you're visiting The University of Portland. Our beautiful, private studio is located on a quiet street just a short bike ride or walk from campus. The North Portland location also provides easy and quick access to the airport, downtown, and other iconic Portland neighborhoods.
Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood between St. Johns and Kenton, you’ll find close and easy access to many restaurants, coffee shops, food carts, breweries, parks, iconic landmarks and more. Built in 2013, the vaulted ceilings and clean architectural lines of the studio make it comfortable and spacious. Reclaimed wood accents throughout the space provide a contemporary aesthetic that's warm and inviting. Large windows give tons of natural light with custom window shades for privacy. The one-room studio is perfect for a single person, couple or even 3 people with a second bed in the loft. The main queen size bed is comfortable and folds up into a cabinet on the wall to save space. The loft is accessed by a wall-mounted stainless steel ladder and has a comfortable twin size mattress. It makes for a great reading nook even if you don’t plan on sleeping up there. Both beds have quality, comfortable linens and pillows. The kitchen is well stocked and has 2 mini refrigerators for your perishables. There are two countertop induction burners, microwave, and a toaster oven for cooking. A small bar height table and stools next to the kitchen make for a nice place to enjoy your fresh cooked meal or our complimentary tea, coffee, and fruit. A modern loveseat and coffee table are situated in front of a 48” Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Video included. The bathroom features clean white tile throughout, with a glass corner shower enclosure. There’s a full-size washer and dryer in the guest closet along with extra linens and other amenities. No matter what time of year you're visiting, you’ll find the studio to be quite comfortable with its own energy efficient heater and air conditioning.
A few of our favorite places in the neighborhood: Cha Cha Cha Taqueria (good mexican food) - ½ mile Chill 'n Fill (cozy bar & growler filling station) - ½ mile Flying Pie Pizzeria - (great pizza) - ½ mile East Side Deli (excellent sandwiches) - ¾ mile New Seasons Market (natural grocery store) - ¾ mile Fred Meyer (anything you could ever possibly need) - 1 mile Western Meats (best butcher shop) - 1 mile University of Portland - 1 mile St. Johns Food Cart Pod & Beer Porch (too many good places) - 1½ miles Columbia Park (one of Portland's oldest parks) - 1½ miles Mock Crest Tavern (best dive bar) - 1¾ miles Downtown St. Johns - 2 miles Forest Park (huge wooded hiking area w/ extensive trails) - 5 miles
  • Great neighborhood with University of Portland nearby. Love going to Ikea and the Mall! Really close to the Airport. Host super accommodating!!

    Karen2018-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place, very clean and close to UP.

    Griselda2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay, but would suggest you rent a car if you are staying a while (not great public transport links) but great location with a car. The apartment is beautifully appointed and condiments and snacks are supplied, which is a lovely touch, We had no real contact with either host other than online. All info provided was accurate and helpful.

    Richard2018-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • The loft was very beautiful and so cleverly designed. They sent incredibly detailed instructions, and we had no troubles or confusion at all! I never met the hosts, but they seemed very thoughtful from all of our interactions. They even stocked the fridge for us! Communication was prompt. Where they are in North Portland is a $20 Uber from downtown, which is a little ways out, but not too bad. I would absolutely recommend staying here!

    Kaitlyn2017-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is even cuter in real life than it was in the photos. Perfect spot if you're looking for cute, clean, compact and affordable!

  • Wonderful studio apt in a quiet residential neighborhood close to services and close to the University of Portland.

  • My sister and I enjoyed a two night vacation in Portland. The space was clean, quiet, and cozy. The space has so much packed into a small area, it's quite impressive! I was a bit hesitant about the bunk, but was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was and I didn't get claustrophobic. :) The location is in a neighborhood of Portland that was new to us so we enjoyed getting to know it and true to Portland we found tasty off-the-beaten-path restaurants nearby. It is a quick drive downtown and to other parts of the City if you want to explore, too. We definitely would recommend this place to other travelers.

    Sarah2017-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Chris and Shuree have put so much thought and care into this delightful space! The fun loft, the comfy murphy bed, the beautiful wood touches, the colorful decorations, a diverse collection of books, local magazines, and yummy food... all these say "Welcome!" Every touch feels high quality and gracious. I needed to a quiet space for a big chunk of intense writing, which can always feel like a slog, but staying in this lovely space made my work feel like a treat.

Built in 2015 the Fortune Haus apartment home is tucked away in a friendly St. John's community neighborhood near the University of Portland. We live in the house on the property so we are nearby if you need anything. We look forward to hosting you!
This newly constructed home away from home has amazing windows to see the sky and watch the clouds pass by, an awesome tree behind the unit where you might see a squirrel or some birds, a full kitchen to cook in and more than what you would get from staying at a hotel during your visit in Portland.
We love Portsmouth/St. John's! The community of people are very friendly and we are within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Even though we are a bit north of Downtown Portland, we get to drive over the beautiful St John's Bridge to get there (takes about 20-25 minutes to get to downtown depending on time of day and where you are going). We are only about a mile away from the University of Portland, and less than a mile to downtown St. John's, where you can find cute shops, coffee, 2 theaters, many restaurants, food carts, and get to Cathedral Park (a favorite). A bit further up is Pier Park, where you can walk among tall trees and even play disc golf.
  • This is a very good and affordable option, pretty close to downtown Portland.

    Doug2017-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Easy check in and out. Mollie and Jake are quick to respond with any questions. Would stay here again if I am in the area.

  • Cosy individual house, welcoming. Well decorated. Everything you need is there. We enjoyed the stay in this house. The bed is confortable. Great !!!

  • My husband and I had a great stay at University of Portland Perfect Stay. We didn't have an opportunity to meet Mollie and Jake, but they were great hosts. They contacted us ahead of time, letting us know how to access the apartment and what to expect about our stay. The apartment is just as it's advertised - it's a beautiful place and you feel right at home. We will definitely keep it in mind for future stays down in Portland and will recommend it to friends.

    Kelli2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • I was very pleased with Mollie and Jake's place I will definitely be back .

    Amparo2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Molly and Jakes place is great. Been there 4or 5 times. Will be back again!

    Maryann2017-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • I couldn't have asked for better hosts! Mollie and Jake were EXCEPTIONAL hosts. Their space was spotless. Its like they knew me before meeting me...lol. There was a french press, cool mason jars, and hip lighting. Since this was our first Airbnb stay, we didn't know what to expect but it was so awesome. I stayed with my family and they loved it too. I wish I could give them 10 stars. It felt like a home and not just some random house in Portland.

    Eddie2016-06-21T00:00:00Z

Our place is for anyone traveling to Portland/Vancouver area. All the access for a fraction of the price. Our townhome is approx. 15min from PDX across the Columbia River via 205 highway. We are married couple in our early 40's, liberal, well-traveled and super friendly. We welcome travelers from any background, race or sexual orientation and we do our best to make your stay relaxing, welcoming and warm.
Welcome to our casual modern sanctuary. Our home is split level Townhome with open style Living room and Kitchen downstairs. Upstairs are the private bedrooms, baths and laundry. You have your own private bath adjacent to your room. We also keep a home-office upstairs, that means if you're needing office stuff like copying and printing, we can hook you up. We do enjoy cooking and can often be found there making the neighbors jealous. You are always welcome to make use of the kitchen, living room or patio, whether you hangout with us or not. Your bathroom is well stocked with supplies and Zen, including our own homemade bath salts and essential oils.
We are tucked in a little neighborhood positioned perfectly in the center of Vancouver, just off 4th Plain Blvd but adjacent to a large country club. A five minute drive or fifteen minute walk to Vancouver Mall or another large center with stores like Walmart & Target. Simply a plethora of shopping, restaurants, markets, gyms, theaters or hike/bike trails. Two traffic lights from a major freeway equals quick access if you're heading out further.

I am proud to make available a new and inviting place to stay in the Portland/Vancouver area. This Charming new little house is 10 minutes away from the Portland Airport. A short but spectacular drive across the mighty Columbia river brings you to Vancouver Washington and my home. The space is directly behind my main residence and features a private entrance through the garden. I personally built this little house with the comfort of my guests in mind. When in the Northwest stay with the best.
    I have a fenced yard.
My neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and only minutes from the nightlife of Portland.
  • Bradford's accommodation is new and very clean, easy to find in a quiet residential neighborhood. Bradford was quick to respond to any questions. I would definitely stay there again.

    Marie2018-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really nice place. Small but well-equipped (AC and a fan, plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels, different types of teas, an electric kettle, tv, Wi-Fi), with a nice view of a cute part of the back yard (the sliding door has a sliding screen too to enjoy some fresh air). The place is very private and relatively quiet, except for the sounds of someone (a neighbor?) playing the sax or a trumpet a few feet away from the bungalow during the day (this could being as early as 8:00 a. m., so don't assume you'll able to sleep in every day). Excellent location, Brad's communication was efficient, and he was very kind and gracious.

My place is a tiny house/garage conversion close to restaurants, shopping, bus line, 14 miles from downtown Portland, 15 miles from Portland Airport. Be sure to ask about best times to cross into Portland to avoid traffic! My place is good for couples, solo travelers, older children (due to loft), and well behaved pets who are used to new places. We have a ZERO tolerance for drugs and illegal activity so if you are looking for a place to distribute, this is not your place.
After entering our yard, you'll have a private entrance and private fenced in yard space. Inside you'll love the cozy apartment with a tiny house feel complete with a fun loft bedroom upstairs. The loft has an A-frame ceiling about 6'3'' high at its peak. It offers just enough walking space to walk to your bed or chair. I live next door in the main house, which is older and being renovated.
Our home is in a suburban area with our neighbors house next to the Airbnb yard.
  • A relaxing place to be and a fun place for a couple!

    Heather2018-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The space is just as pictured. The lovely fenced in area with a fire pit was perfect to allow my pup to relieve himself and get some fresh air. I wish I was able to take advantage of the fire pit provided. All in all it was a central location and a great find for the price! Thank you Rachel and Jeffery! :)

  • Super adorable space, and knowing it’s dog friendly was awesome too! It’s a really good distance between both Vancouver and Portland, there’s plenty of stores like Safeway and Target just up the street, and there’s a Golds Gym in Vancouver mall that was only 15 minutes away!

Enjoy the privacy of your own floor beneath our 1929 family home in the quirky St. Johns neighborhood. Your space is 350 square feet with kitchenette, shower/bathroom and a private backdoor entrance. This space is cool in the summer, warm in the winter. Enjoy the garden-filled backyard and relax under the gazebo. We are close to artsy Alberta, Kenton or Mississippi districts. We invite guests from all backgrounds, and offer a safe and welcoming space for POC and LBGTQ travelers.
We are a family of four, with two young sons (Waylon is almost 4, River was born in June). We run a theatre company in town and host lots of visiting artists at our place. Since this is our first house we've ever owned, we are pretty proud to share it. We are also slowly fixing up and improving and changing things, (especially in the back yard and front and side gardens) and want you to enjoy your time here as much as you can in the city that we've called home for over 20 years. Yours is a three-room zone in a near 100 year old house, so its got lots of charm, lots of character, and of course plenty of quirks. You'll get the bottom floor (converted basement) to yourself: a bedroom, a kitchenette (w/ laundry for you to use whenever you want, behind the sliding doors) and a bathroom w/ shower. Kitchenette has a small fridge, an induction hotplate, a microwave, toaster/convection oven and basic cookware, dishes and silverware. Of course, we provide a french press and coffee for you to enjoy. The bedroom has a small table/chairs for hanging out and a full size bed, as well as a couch that pulls out into a bed. Simple, straightforward, clean, nice. You can get on our main house WiFi -- cells don't seem to work too well down below. The great part about 'character' is the cool old vibe of the place, and the neighborhood vibe of old St. Johns. The less wonderful part of 'character' is how squeaky the sound is: you will probably hear us walking around upstairs (especially our stomping toddler!), and the sound of the water system and heating/cooling system. The ceilings also are lower (basement style) than normal height. The neighborhood is not noisy, and we are out of the house most days, and in bed pretty early so you'll have lots of peace and quiet. Come and go whenever, as late or as early as you like, we can't hear you at all upstairs!
We are close to downtown St. Johns, with lots of food, drink and coffee options. There are great breakfast places like Anna Bananna's, the amazing Cathedral Park under the St. Johns Bridge, coffee shops, comic book stores, dive bars and yoga studios. An awesome food cart pod on Lombard (Kruger's) is a short walk from the house -- also nearby are a farmer's market stand and three grocery stores (New Seasons, Fred Meyer and Grocery Outlet). So great to walk or bike in the whole zone w/ less than a mile to tons of restaurants, stores, groceries, bars, two movie theatres, three amazing parks, etc, etc. It's also very quick access to the more well visited N/NE hip artsy neighborhoods of Kenton, Alberta/Killingsworth and Mississippi, which are full of things to do, eat, drink, etc at all hours.
  • This place basically provided everything we needed. It created a cozy and welcoming environment and was a pretty great place for the price. There were also towels, shampoo and conditioner, extra bed sheets and blankets provided to us. The owners weren't there during our stay but they left us plenty of instructions for us to know what to do and where to find objects.

    Monica2017-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Jonathan's place was as pictured. I especially liked the size of the space and the comfortable bed. The place was really clean. Having my own private entrance, private bath (nice towels) private kitchen was idea for me. I highly recommend this place and I will return the next time I am in town visiting my daughter.

    Peg & Bob2018-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Jonathan made us feel very welcome to their home, even though they were not in town during our stay. We were able to keep our car parked in the driveway, and everything we wanted to do in the city was accessible by Uber. Everything inside was clean and we had all the necessities for our stay. We enjoyed their backyard garden and were encouraged to take some vegetables home. Would recommend this place to people visiting Portland as a more affordable alternative to expensive places downtown. Plus - St. John's neighborhood is a lot of fun!

    Caroline2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here! Faith & Jonathan were very welcoming and answered any & all questions we had. The space is very clean and big! Everything was just as described.

  • This space had everything a visitor to Portland would need. The kitchenette is well stocked and the main space is very cozy. There were several amenities that I was particularly thankful for, like laundry and the small heater. I also appreciated the private entrance.

  • A great place to stay! Faith and Jonathan made everything easy. Thanks!

    Allie2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place. Very quaint. Far enough from the city to avoid those urban downsides but close enough to uber or take a bus to the heart of Portland. Definitely will stay again. They were extremely thoughtful in what we may need and went above and beyond to provide comfort for us

    Kyto2018-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying here! It was a really nice downstairs room with a private bathroom, really nice little kitchen area, and everything I needed. The hosts did a great job preparing the place and having instructions of what's available to use and great places to visit around the area. I would definitely stay here again. The surrounding area was nice as well, with easy access to the freeway, local eateries, and was quiet.

Newly renovated, cozy, bright apartment with a fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful bathroom. Within short walking distance to the iconic St. Johns Bridge, verdant parks and hiking trails, historic downtown St. John's (farmer's market, etc), and great food, beer, and coffee.
The apartment is in the basement of my cozy 1962 ranch house. There is nearly 1000 square feet of living space. It has a private entrance, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious custom built tile shower, and several details that make it a bright, cozy, and inviting space. This space was built by a team with you in mind. We transformed a concrete basement into an amazing space for travelers. I managed the project from start to finish with the help of my wonderful partner, Elizabeth, and we made sure to include details and handmade products that make the space one of a kind.
  • Awesome place! Very clean and attentive!

  • Casey’s place was perfect! It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, from a fully stocked kitchen to extra blankets in the closet. The place was really spacious for six people. It was clean and had nice touches of decor. Appreciated the heater very much. It was easy to find the house and check in was a breeze. Casey was accommodating and responsive. Such a wonderful host! We enjoyed our stay a lot and look forward to coming back :)

  • Casey's place is located in great proximity to UP and near the grocery store and gas station. The apartment was exactly as shown on the listing, and was stylish, new and a very comfortable space. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed to feel right at home during our visit to Portland. The kitchen was very well-equipped and functional; bathroom was clean, spacious and modern; living room was open with great seating; beds were firm and comfortable. Casey's ceramic pieces gave the space a wonderful personalized and artistic touch. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Portland!

Little touches like fresh tomatoes from the garden and plastic wrap to save our leftovers made our stay that much better. Plus Casey was super nice and helpful.

  • This is a newly updated apartment that is very stylish, comfortable and quiet. We lived it. Just a hop to St Johns Beer Porch which we also loved.

  • We enjoyed this charming little abode with a flower filled backyard! Super easy walk to restaurants, bakery and bars. Less than 5 minute drive to any of our event venues, Clark College and Esther Short Park. Gabriela provided extras such as eggs, bagels and yogurt which truly demonstrates the sincere care provides for her guests.

  • We had a wonderful vacation in Vancouver, due in no small part to our very comfortable stay in this lovely little bungalow apt. We felt absolutely welcome and safe in the neighborhood and thoroughly enjoyed the area and the thoughtful amenities provided by our host.

  • This was a lovely oasis right in the heart of Vancouver. It was a short walk to shops and restaurants. The place was nicely decorated and had everything I could have needed. I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely go back should I travel to Vancouver again. The garden was lush and beautiful, and comfy chairs on the front porch to enjoy the evenings. It was perfect! Gabriela is friendly and a wonderful host!

  • This is a great place to use as a home base for exploring Vancouver, Portland, or any of the wonderful nearby activities (natural or man-made). The house is clean, cozy, and literally RIGHT next to Vancouver downtown, bars, beer gardens, restaurants, etc. Gabriella is kind and accommodating to whatever one might need. Overall an excellent experience and I'd recommend a stay to anyone.

Posto veramente confortevolissimo e ben accessoriato. Ci tornerò senzaltro in altra occasione.

  • Ida's place is very pleasant and comfortably clean. The amenities she provides from all the food, AC, washer/dryer are superb. Her abode is a must for future trips. Communicating with Ida was a plus, also.

  • What an amazing place to be able to stay at! So nice and homey! I loved the area and the home made the trip so much better.

  • My fiancée and I stayed here on a trip and we loved the place. It's close to PDX, which was convenient for us. The bed was large and comfortable, and the place as a whole was very clean and stylish. The breakfast/various snack foods were excellent and there was a lot of variety to choose from. We would definitely recommend this place to other travelers!

Come rest your head after touring amazing Portland. A MAX station, stores/shops, restaurants/bars, etc. are a short walk away. 10 min MAX ride to downtown Portland. You will feel great to have the attached, private bathroom this room offers. If this listing is booked, my other listing is: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/12948312?preview
Your room is the master suite. You have ample space and an attached *private bathroom. You have a walk in closet to store anything you need while touring this amazing city. Corporate stays and/or long stays are welcome. Coffee/tea provided, along with a light treat on the first day of your stay to get you going. I have stayed at Airbnb's globally, and I feel this listing has more to offer than any other comparable listing in Portland. Come see for yourself and stay on a park in North Portland. LGBTQ friendly.
The house is a 12 minute walk to downtown Kenton where you can find restaurants, shops and stores, a 12 minute car drive to downtown Portland, under a 10 minute car ride to the historic St. John's neighborhood.
  • We had a great experience with Ryan! His house was not only spotless, but also a great location close to downtown and the airport. Ryan consistently made himself available for any additional questions we had. Highly recommend !

  • Great place to stay.

    Michael2016-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Nice clean room. Bathroom was clean. Had a nice stay. The only thing I'll say is that there is no AC. We stayed on the hottest day of the year, it was 100 degrees so the room was quite warm. Other than that, I'd deff stay again.

    Rachel2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan's house was an awesome place to stay got our trip to Portland! The place is very clean, and was located in a great spot with easy access to all of our favorite spots! Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet Ryan in person, but he was very responsive to messages and friendly when taking to us! Thanks, Ryan!

    Evan2016-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! Ryan was so accommodating. He wasn't home so we didn't get the chance to meet but the stay was great! Very private space that had everything we needed!

    Shalyn2016-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying at Ryan's. The room was clean and comfortable. I usually have a tough time sleeping anywhere but home and I was able to get plenty of rest. I also really appreciated the snacks and water left in the room! I hadn't eaten all day and it was the perfect pick me up. I would definitely recommend Ryan's place.

    Trinidad2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely spacious, clean, and warm space. Ryan is very informative and a fantastic local guide. Highly recommend staying some nights there.

    Ronald2017-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing host; has a Keurig in the room ( if you're a coffee lover like me it is pretty exciting), he's very easy to communicate with just text him and he replies quickly, and you get to have your own attached bathroom. Portland was probably a 15 minute drive (maybe less depending on traffic) and about a 15-20 minute walk to a bunch of breakfast places and stores :-)

Spacious above garage suite, remodeled, w/private entrance, sitting room w/gas fireplace, tub/shower in the bathroom. 2nd bedroom available upon request;note that it's next to our own living space- earplugs for light sleepers. Queen beds in both bedrooms. For a party of 2, extra bedroom will have an additional cleaning fee, no cleaning fee for 3 or more. Microwave, mini-fridge, & Keurig. (Hidden by Airbnb) Chromecast. Driveway & street parking. Close to uptown/downtown action & half mile from I-5.
Living space feels entirely separate from the rest of the house. West facing space on second story= sunset views on a private deck. Driveway parking for one car is available. Shared fire pit and bar shed access upon request/invitation. Apparently one of the hosts can make a mean Manhattan if desired.
We live in the charming Lincoln neighborhood of uptown Vancouver, WA. Most homes were built between the late 20s and early 50s when each home was a unique project. Two blocks from a grocery store and neighborhood cafe/community hub, and transit line; less than a mile to the local shopping district with bakeries, restaurants and much more.
  • Communication was excellent prior to our arrival. Information manual provided information as needed. Arrival and gaining entrance was excellent. The apartment itself was beyond our expectations. We would stay at this Airbnb anytime. Terrific workmanship, terrific host who addressed our minor issue immediately.

  • We felt very relaxed at this place! Rocky was super friendly.

    Swen2016-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Rocky & Jane's place is really nice in a quiet neighborhood. Having a Safeway in walking distance was a plus for snacks, food and a Redbox to use on the DVD player back home since there is no cable. Amenities included a microwave, mini fridge, a toaster and WiFi. Honestly they were stocked with supplies for the bathroom and bedroom. To get an extra queen bed, they charged an additional $30 which was needed. That extra room was so cozy. Even though there's a driveway space provided, the whole neighborhood had plenty of parking. It was really a great place to stay if visiting Portland. You wouldn't come back here in the middle of the day since it's a little ways out (about 15-20minutes)... But starting and ending your day here is the perfect relaxing feeling and a cozy place to be! Highly recommend if you can't find a place within Portland.

    Casey2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Rocky and Jane's place was so nice, the pictures don't do it justice! Very cute with all the amenities, and the beds were super comfortable!!! Their place is nicely located, close to downtown and stores. They were both so hospitable and kind, I would definitely stay here again!

    Dee2018-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Rocky and Jane's house is a wonderful place to stay. It is welcoming and comfortable. If you're looking for a place to stay in Vancouver or Portland, this place will not disappoint you. The area is family friendly and residential. I will definitely be staying here again if I ever stop by the area.

    Cesar2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Yes ! Very happy to stay at Rocky's apartment. Large, quiet, centrally located, everything I needed and more. Already have two more stays booked.

  • This place was the perfect spot for four of us. It was in a quiet neighborhood and it was in a convenient spot. It was close to the interstate which made it easy to get around. Everything was clean and tidy. It was also easy and quick for us to get responses to questions when we had them. I would absolutely stay again when back in the area.

Our daylight basement studio with jetted tub is a great place for rest and rejuvenation. The 550 sqft space includes a comfortable queen bed with foam mattress from Tuft & Needle, a sitting area with lots of guides on the city, a kitchen with microwave, convection toaster oven, fridge, two-burner stove & a luxury bathroom with spacious hot tub for two and stand-up shower. Netflix & Hulu are sure to keep you entertained. LGBTQ & 420 friendly. Our home runs on 100% renewable energy so sleep easy!
This is a cute and cozy apartment in the bottom level of our home. It features: : Spacious bathroom with jetted jacuzzi and heated toilet : Stand-up shower (30"x29") with LED temperature sensor shower head : Kitchenette with 2 burner hot plate, convection toaster oven, microwave, water kettle, coffee maker & refrigerator with freezer : Tuft & Needle foam queen mattress sleeps soundly : Seasonally adjusted duvets keep you resting easy year-round : Record player for spinning tunes w/blue tooth compatibility
Our neighborhood is diverse and friendly with quaint vintage shops, quirky bars and excellent restaurants. It is conveniently located near I-5 and public transport. Just 5 miles north of Downtown and nestled in the historic Kenton community close to shops and dining, we are within easy walking distance to public transit (Yellow Max line and several buses take you downtown in 30 minutes) and we are a 20 minute car ride downtown with great N/S-bound freeway access.
  • Beautiful quiet neighborhood. Very clean and pretty downstairs (basement) accommodations. Easy parking. Hosts were very helpful and supportive as this was my first time using Air BnB. We ran into them once and they were very friendly and had a great vibe. The place is clean and very cute. Small fridge and hot plate, kitchen sink included. The bathtub is awesome. Recommended for one person at a time, or two if you are about 5'5" or less. Set your alarm clock if you would like to get up and explore PDX--the basement room has little light, great for sleeping or accidentally oversleeping! You can hear a little water running upstairs but that never bothered me. Overall quieter than a lot of hotels I've stayed in.

    Andrea2014-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic place to stay. Maylene & Charity were friendly and quick to respond to my questions. The apartment had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable and the internet was reliable. The bathroom is amazing! There's a bus stop right out front, which makes getting around easy, and some great restaurants within walking distance. The only bummer was the lack of air conditioning on the 90 degree days, which I wasn't expecting in June in Portland. Being in the basement helped quite a bit with that though.

    Kimb2015-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • I want to thank Maylene and Charity for their hospitality and open communication. I was able to check in early and enjoy the best welcome gift. I raved about this Airbnb with my friends and family, who will book here when visiting Portland. I will be back just to stay here again. Thank you s (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) much!

    Jasmine2017-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • You won't regret booking this place, it's located in a cool area where you can get around easily and it is nice and peaceful with cool food spots and parks nearby. Maylene and Charity set up a very nice, cozy spot to stay in and it was an awesome trip for me and my girlfriend.

    Brian2017-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Maylene and Charity's place was great!!! Conveniently located their guidebook has great suggestions of things to do in Portland !!! The bed is comfy the kitchen well equipped!!! The bathrooms bathtub is a great added touch, perfect for Portland weather in October!!! Everything was amazing and they were really easy to get ahold of when needed!!!

    Tammy2016-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay! The place is great, feels very private because you have the downstairs to yourselves. Tub was the best part! Close to the freeway, good location. We also met another guest and that was nice, felt like true travelers. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Great place up in North Portland. The Pearl is quite, spacious, very clean and the host added many touches to make the visitor feel at home. Directions on how to get there and how to get in were straightforward and easy. Loved our stay and will definitely stay again in the future.
