You have your own access and a key during your stay. There is good parking. The apartment is self contained and separate from the remainder of the house where we live.

Welcome to Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari! Located on the side of our visitor centre sits a spacious two-bedroom home. It is a relaxing and comfortable place to unwind, with stunning views and amazing walking trails right at your door. We are New Zealand's largest fenced eco-sanctuary, home to 2,500 kiwi which you should be able to hear at night. Your accommodation includes free access for self-guided walks through the Southern Enclosure, or book a tour to get truly immersed in nature.

The Hilly House is a hillside property in the heart of the Whitehall district, surrounded by beautiful rural views. Very private. Outdoor baths for relaxing in peace, star gazing with a glass of wine or two. Our friendly and inquisitive llamas will come over to greet you, you can fine their pellets inside the house. We are 20mins from Hamilton airport and a great location to access local tourist attractions: Cambridge 10mins, Hobbiton 30mins, Rotorua 1hour, Waitomo caves 1 hour.
