The construction next door the guest refers to are new homes that are in the finishing touches of completion; they have been under construction for over 18 months, so didn't think it was an issue since there is no noise created from the job site and there is ample parking.
There are a number of cafes, pubs and coffee houses 2 blocks up on 31st Ave S. Not sure what you are referring to...And yes, it is not Capitol Hill where there is lots more of everything and where the rent is over $4k/mo. Considering the difference in rent is almost 50% less, yes, you do get what you pay for. It is clearly noted in previous guests remarks that you are out of the main hustle and bustle of the downtown area. Additionally, lots of dining options etc are one light rail stop away both north and south. Yeah, the light rail is a 20 min walk away, not right out your front door hence the lower rents.
As far as the "hole in the wall" where obviously the last resident broke the towel bar off the wall, there was damaged drywall which I did promptly take care of. And the broken clip holding the shelf in the cabinet up, was also fixed without delay.
In my opinion Aaron, your review is/was a bit harsh. You didn't mention anything about the treats and goodies left for you upon your arrival...oh well, can't satisfy everyone...enjoy your new rental. Cheers
