The Redlight studio suite combines contemporary comforts with an eclectic vintage & rustic feel. Kitchen, bathroom with tub, TV, private entrance and a parking space. The suite is located in the heart of downtown Truckee- walking distance to shopping and restaurants - across the street from the Amtrak train station and bus stop. This space can accommodate 2 adults with 2 children, or up to 3 adults.

The Redlight is cross between a hotel and hostel. Always some form of lodging, saloon and brothel, the building was first built in the 1880's, burnt down in the early 1920's and then rebuilt in the late 1920's. We completely renovated it in 2016 to give it new life. We draw guests from all over the world and cultivate an eclectic, social atmosphere that feels like home.
Features include: soundproof insulation, on demand water heating, high speed internet, and a personalized key code for easy entry.
This studio is cozy and customized with an artistic flare that will make your stay warm and comfortable as your home away from home.

Outside of the studio apartment- inside our main building: Communal spaces include dining area, sauna, lounge, movie room, (CLOSED FOR WINTER) and the speakeasy where we serve beer, wine, and ice cream. (Bar will remain open with modifications) The Redlight offers laundry service for guests -- ask reception for pricing.
The studio has a private well lit entry, keyless door access and a reserved outdoor parking spot right next to the studio entrance way.

Masks are required in building, our indoor communal areas are closed to limit the spread of Covid-19. Temperature of all guests checking in will be taken with digital forehead thermometer at check-in.
Although we don’t offer parking, there is free overnight public parking across the street (free 6pm-10am).
No A/C or TVs in rooms, but heaters/fans are provided in all rooms. Please respect our designated quiet hours beginning at 10:30 pm!

Guest interaction with your host can be extremely minimal. Keyless entry allows for self check in and this fully furnished private studio suite allows for complete autonomy during your stay. If you choose to be social and interact with other guests on property, or if you would like concierge-type help, we are always available.
