One room "tree house" studio in a redwood grove. Large, spacious room with 2 twin beds, shower, small fridge, microwave oven, toaster oven and coffee maker. 15 min "fairy-tale" walk to downtown Mill Valley. Close to hiking trails yet only 30 min from San Francisco.
PLEASE NOTE: To comply with local regulations there will be a 12% tax for stays under 30 days. This will be collected at check-in and in cash, to avoid additional Airbnb fees.
Large spacious room (~320 square feet) with bathroom complete with a shower. Basic kitchen equipment - a small fridge, toaster oven, microwave oven, coffee maker and hot water jug. Tableware and cutlery also provided. TV with access to Amazon and Netflix only. There is a large closet with plenty of storage room - a hairdryer, iron and ironing board.
Enjoy tranquil views looking out to the beautiful redwoods.
Private access to studio. Small deck just outside complete with two chairs to sit quietly and enjoy the redwoods.
I'm always available if you need me, however you can expect complete privacy if that's what you wish. The main entrance gate is shared but the studio is seperate from the house with a private entrance.
Quaint meandering narrow road to house, this is part of the charm of Mill Valley however it is narrow and traffic is in both directions so drive slowly. Plenty of beautiful walking and hiking trails in the area but the studio is on the side of a hill and a steep climb back up one flight of the Dipsea steps from downtown Mill Valley. Cell service can be spotty depending on carrier. Wifi access from studio.
We live in a quiet canyon and we expect our guests to respect this by also being quiet. No pets, no smoking inside or outside on the deck, no additional guests.
Toilet: please do not flush anything other than toilet paper, the sewage pipes cannot handle feminine products, dental floss etc.
Showers: California is in one of the most severe droughts on record so please be mindful of this when taking a shower. Please limit your shower to 5 minutes or less, thank you.
People usually enjoy my accent as I'm originally from Scotland, I hope you'll like it too! I LOVE where I live with my husband and two kids and I look forward to sharing information about local attractions that might interest you. If you want peace and tranquility our "tree house" like studio looking out to redwood trees is the perfect setting to recharge your batteries!
I'm a docent at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco - the deYoung and the Legion of Honor, I enjoy giving tours to the general public and school kids. I also very much enjoy hiking with family and friends on the beautiful steps, lanes and trails in our neighborhood.
