The third floor east room is a nice place to relax and enjoy the mountain. It is one of three rooms on the third floor at Megumi Chalet, a 5000 sq. ft. home located in the heart of Government Camp. Beautiful views of Mt. Hood from balconies and front windows.
Guests may use the third floor east room. There is a shared bathroom on the third floor. The second floor kitchen, dining and living areas are shared by all. The garage may be used as a place to put gear.
Guests are free to be on their own. We are available to assist with planning activities. Cross country gear, snow shoes, sledding gear, extra winter clothing are available on site to Megumi Chalet guests. 2 kayaks are also available. We can also provide guided winter and summer hikes ranging from easy to the most difficult.
All guests are expected to respect Chalet property since this is also my private home.
Kitchen facilities are available on a limited basis. Simple meal preparation only. No grease cooking.
Smoking of tobacco may NOT be done within 15 feet of the house and all cigarettes must be put out in special containers.
Marijuana and other drugs are not allowed.
Due to pet allergies suffered by so many, pets are not allowed.
Out of respect for others, loud and raucous behavior, running, jumping from balconies or on furniture is not allowed. Quiet hours are from 10 pm until 7 am.
Breakfast is served from 8 am until 9 am unless other arrangements are made with the hostess. Coffee is available at 7 am.
Doors are locked at 9 pm. Guests out after that hour will be given a key.
Outdoor clothing, shoes and boots must be left in the foyer. House slippers are available for my guests. There is room in the garage for skis, snowboards/bicycles and other equipment.
6% Clackamas County Transient Room Tax has been charged.
I have had a home in Government Camp since 1969 and lived here full time for the past 25 years. I love the mountain air, the pure water, the moderate climate, and the multitude of activities afforded the out of doors lover.
