Neha, we are terribly sorry that you had such a difficult time here. We aren't used to having a guest who was so disappointed! The neighborhood (Central District) is famously central. It is 25-30 minute walk to the heart of Capitol Hill (the food and cultural center of Seattle) and to Pioneer Square the historic center of the city. There are numerous incredible restaurants within 5-7 blocks as well. "Walk Score" of 88, "Very Walkable". But "walking distance" is relative so we should be clearer or recommend people check the map before booking, just in case. You are right about the floors, the house was built in 1892 and has the beautiful original oak flooring. If your co-guests friends are moving around while you are sleeping there are creaks you'd hear and that could be frustrating. We keep the house very clean, but are sorry it did not meet your standards. You are correct that we do live here and had just left, so the home does feel like a home, not a hotel. I now understand why we had the "miscommunication" about house rules, cleaning etc, you were obviously frustrated that the house did not meet your expectation. I apologize again, and hope that it did not ruin your trip to beautiful Seattle!
