Set in the heart of the beautiful village of Bouillac in Southern France, this converted 3-storey charcuterie offers an entire open loft space with bathroom as well as a traditional and more intimate bedroom. Internet, ample on-site parking and gym are all available. The village shop even sells handmade chocolates! Rodez airport is 30 minutes away, and picturesque market towns are all around, as well as heritage sites in abundance. Host speaks English and fluent French.
Although the price is quoted per couple per night, anyone wishing to stay on their own will get a reimbursement on arrival so they pay 30 euros per night.
Children under 5 can stay for free (beds are available); otherwise there will be a charge of an extra 15 euros per child per night. There is a mezzanine in the loft with a great little space for kids to have their own area (ideal for teenagers).
An entire floor in an open plan style is on offer with bed area, sitting room and private bathroom. There is even a mezzanine which can take a bed for any youngsters who want to be king of the castle.
Guests have their own level in the house so can be undisturbed but are welcome to join me for breakfast and general chit chat if they like.
Hello/Bonjour, I have lived in France since 2006 after a long love affair with the country. Aveyron is a stunningly beautiful part of France that is not that well known, hence the tourist season does not get nearly as crowded as other parts of the country.
I love the food (if I could I would live off baguettes and cheese), the people (I am a member of the village football team) and the great weather.
I can point people in the direction of some of France's most beautiful and undiscovered spots, and can even act as interpreter if needed.
For a relaxing time in a village that always has something going on (if you know where to look), the unspoilt region of Aveyron has everything... even a waterfall and lagoon. As they say here, "la vie est belle!"
