At the heart of Kanuka Cabin lies a traditional green timber frame, which has been lovingly hand crafted using trees from our property. The cabin was built with eco-consciousness in mind, using upcycled, reclaimed and second-hand materials wherever possible. The finished result is a charming, unique, 10m2 tiny house with endless character! We are located on the fringes of the Kahurangi National Park, just minutes away from a stunning swimming hole, beautiful nature walks and pristine beaches!

Kanuka Cabin is nestled in a stand of native kanuka and ponga trees. The double bed sits atop a mezzanine floor, up a relatively steep ladder. There is a long-drop toilet next to the cabin in native bush. We have a (shared) outdoor shower nearby for guests to use. Minimal but functional cooking facilities are included.

You can drive right up to the cabin and have the entire outside space around the building for yourselves, including picnic bench and bistro set.
