1. "The place" CASA PEIXE is NOT MEANT to be for 4 persons, as can be read in various platforms (including AIRBNB in portuguese, and on our own site, and it is obvious from the photos.
According to the adults in the group, it was the youngster who had done the reservation, and that girl admitted in front of me that she had not looked at the pictures, neither to the text, just booked sleeps. For such guests, there are guesthouses and hotels of all types.
By the way, there are sometimes families with young children who explicitly want to come to CASA PEIXE, and they are happy with it.
2. It is not true that during Elizabeth's stay "the water kept turning off and on". That situation occurred BEFORE this group arrived, they knew it only because I told that they are lucky, as the problem had been solved by then. There was a cut in public water supply which affected our tourism and the neighbouring Hotel "Enigma". We activated our own 13.000 liter water reservoir, and in the night before Elizabeths group arrived, the firefighters from Odemira filled up our reservoir. So, there was no water shortage, at all, when they arrived, and also no irregularity. The water meter for their house showed that they had quite a good water consumption.
On the next morning. the municipality finalized the repair of their water supply and asked us to switch back to public water supply for test. As the pipe system was full of air, the water initially flushed out with pump effect, that is normal and stopped after a few minutes. We showed them the running water in our maintenance building. They saw it and one of them said "there is no water supply here", and off they went.
3. What the sentence "there was only one bed and she pulled in 2 cots" means, we do not understand, honestly. The house has a queen-size double bed in the separate sleeping zone (fully apart, not even visible frm the living room).
A third bed, rattan recamière-type, is always in the living room, as the pictures show.
As they had booked for 4 persons, and could never be contacted by the phone number indicated through AIRBNB, we slightly changed the position of the recamière bed and installed another bed, resulting in twin beds in a corner of the living room. No cots ....
4. Since May 2016, there is a blacktop road branching off from the National Road E-120, directly by the well-known and visible Café Becha in Vale Juncal. The National Road Authority does not authorize signboards to private places on a National Road. Therefore, the guests receive a route description, and in AIBNB the GPS coordinates are indicated.
The small blacktop road ends just on front of SALGADINHO where CASA PEIXE is located.
