Nestled in an acre of land in the Interlake of Manitoba is a small two room studio/guest house. This property is a welcoming adventure where the owner, who is an artist, has tastefully and magically transformed the a place and where you can relax in the privacy of your own space.
The beach is within walking distance and local piers will surprise you with a sunrise like no other.

Peaceful and cozy are the only words that can describe this rental during the winter months, however if you have a wild side you can make it what you want and you can be certain that neighbours will invite you to hang out during the summer months. This building is less than three years old and was intended to be a art studio, but plans changed and it is now a whimsical and colourful guest house. There is a fire pit just outside the front door. A new bathroom has recently been added on, is in working order. A double hide a bed sofa is in the studio and an air mattress can be added if extra guests should want to stay

The main house where I live is fully equipped with laundry facilities for guests to use. However at this time of the coronavirus, the main house will be limited to guests.
As the water system is fed by an artisan well and is emptied into a septic holding tank. Water is used frugally.
The main house is locked at 10pm every night for safety reasons.
I am always delighted to meet new people and will offer assistance as best as I can throughout your stay.

I am an artist and have a small gallery gift shop set up in my 3 season sunroom. Guests are encouraged and always welcome to shop during their stay.

My name is Glenda, and I retired to move out of the city of Winnipeg 3 years ago. I purchased the family cabin cabin which my mother and father built on an acre of land and announced to the world that I am an artist. I am proud to say that I am an Interlake WAVE artist and my art is available for sale in the sunroom of the main house. My property is called Villa Kunterbunt (German) and translated it means "a splash of color". Villa Kunterbunt also happened to be the home of Pipi Longstockings. I love color and so will paint almost anything(sometimes I later regret). I am the owner of 3 pets, 1 dog (Rafiki)and 2 cats Soular and Marlon). My art studio was changed to a guest house and just this year I added a bathroom onto the building. No more outhouse. It is the perfect place to retreat into art, or a great book or a fishing event or derby weekend. It can be whatever you want it to be. I enjoy meeting new people, whether it is through travel, my business or just living in my community. Come out to Inter-lake Manitoba where the fishing is fine, the silence is restful, the water is soothing and the people are welcoming. If you happen to visit over a weekend, Saturday is Irish Cream coffee morning with me, but only on a Saturday.
