My house is a stone built country cottage on the edge of the village of Hathersage with fantastic views down the valley to the MamTor ridge separating the Hope from the Edale valley. A cat lives in the house with me.
No smoking inside, please leave shoes in the conservatory. I live down a little lane and want to avoid dirt from the lane being brought into the house. Wash up after yourself. Quiet after 11.30pm. Pets are possible if paws thoroughly cleaned and their own bedding is provided by owner and the pet isn't left alone in the house.
The house isn't easy to find so you must ring to make arrangements to meet me, and car access is via a small, and at times, muddy lane.
Hi. I'm a semi-retired English teacher. I love travelling and staying in out-of- the -way places. I like walking locally, in groups, with friends or alone. I'm friendly but not intrusive, I'll give you as much or as little local information as you like, loan you maps, and could lead a walk if wished. My house is non-smoking. I prefer quiet after 11.30pm. There's room for cycles to be locked up , outside. You can help yourself to tea and coffee. The local pub is 2 minutes away. You're welcome to use the kitchen, especially if you do your own washing up!
