With plenty of parking space in front of the cottage, there’s no need to drive as there are amazing walks straight from your doorstep. From there you can take the footpath up to the ridge and to Lose Hill, Hollins Cross and the shivering Mountain that is Mam Tor. Spectacular views over the Hope Valley are aplenty. From there you can return to the farm through Castleton or pop down to Edale which is very pretty too. Castleton is only a fifteen minute walk from the cottage and has numerous high quality pubs and locally produced eateries and there’s much to see. More commonly known for its Blue John Mines, a must do visit is to walk to Peveril Castle which is steeped in history and has stunning views of the town and surrounding valley.

You can, of course, travel further afar as there is much to do in the Peak District whether walking, cycling or as a visiting sightseer - you’re spoilt for choice. You’ll want to enjoy one of the great days out in Derbyshire and the Peak District. There are many attractions in the area: beautiful Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall in the market town of Bakewell; the spar town of Buxton with its Opera House, beautiful Pavilion Gardens and Gallery in the Gardens annual event; and Matlock Bath which is nearby with stunning views from the Heights of Abraham and the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site that is Cromford Mills and the National Tramway Museum.

その他の特記事項
David & Denise live adjacent to the cottage so are always on hand to help.Social Distancing and Check in. We usually meet guests and give them a guided tour, we are now implementing a self-check in. you can still expect great service as we will be around if you need any help, but a safe 2 meter distance.
Help us by not arriving until after 5pm

There will be cleaning produce and sanitizers for you to use during your stay in the cottage.

As the cottage is nestled in the middle of a working farm and beautiful surroundings, well behaved dogs are welcome. With so many animals nearby, our beloved pets are excitable, we advise that they must be kept on a leash when walking in the Peaks and around the farm and ask that they do not go on the furniture upstairs and are not left unattended in the cottage..

Guests can not invite other guests over who are not part of the original booking.

Where possible we would be will be delighted to collect guests from the Hope railway station. This we will not be doing for the moment due to social distancing
If you are travelling on public transport we are more than happy to collect you from the train station in Hope or bus stop at the bottom of the lane, by prior arrangement. This we will resume as soon as possible with social distancing rules

We provide bread, butter, eggs, milk, tea , coffee, sugar, preserves and orange juice for a breakfast , so guests will not have to rush out and buy something. If you would like bacon etc. for a cooked breakfast we can order this in for you at a cost of £10

My name is Denise, my husband David and I have farmed for over 37 years We are the modern day Shepherd and Milkmaid if needed we will be on hand to help make the most of your stay in the Peak National Park
滞在中の交流または連絡
David and Denise aim to make your stay as fulfilling and enjoyable as possible. They have that Derbyshire warmth, are very friendly and love to chat to their guests. Whether it is at the time of booking or during your stay, they are more than happy to help with advice on good places to visit and information on local events that are not to be missed. Mind you, with the lure of the working farm on your doorstep, David is always on hand to explain the working life of a farmer and likes to give advice and information to guests – bottle feeding lambs in Spring is always very popular.
