Tucked away up a beaten track, a 200-year old house with an amazing garden.
The house is about 200 years' old set in a secluded location just a mile outside Bibury.
Here, you are right in the middle of the Cotswolds so it's great for overnight stays when you're touring. We also seem to be in the middle of wedding land, so a lot of our guests are attending weddings at Cripps Barn, The Swan Hotel or any of the other venues in the Cotswolds.
The gardens here are amazing. If you're lucky with the weather, you can sit out on the patio, enjoy a drink, soak in the sun and the bird song, and not even see another house. Or you can take a walk around to look at the vegetables and fruit bushes, the chickens, the orchard, and then duck under the birch tree to discover the secret woodland garden.
Inside, the house is super cosy. There are two bedrooms, both with views out over the flower garden. One bedroom has a king-size bed, the other a double bed, and both are amazingly comfortable. There is a state-of-the-art bathroom with high-pressure rain shower, complete with towels and locally-made toiletries from Cotswold Lavender.
A really substantial breakfast is included in the price. This comprises muesli or cereal, yoghurt, eggs or cheese, a range of breads or croisssants, home-made preserves, fruits from the garden in season, and tea or fresh coffee. Guests are welcome to use the sitting room and you can make tea or coffee in the kitchen.
There is plenty of parking in the driveway.
Note: This house is in a remote location with limited public transport, so is only suitable for people with a car or other types of wheels.
There are two guest bedrooms and one bathroom. You are also welcome to use the sitting room and to make coffee and tea in the kitchen.
Note, if you are two guests, we assume that you will occupy one bedroom. If you wish to use both bedrooms, then a single occupancy charge of £10 per person will be payable on arrival. This doesn't apply to groups of three people.
We love sharing our home with guests. Most times, we're here to greet you, help you orientate yourselves, provide you with information about wonderful places to visit, serve you breakfast, and say goodbye to you when you leave.
The Cotswolds is very popular for touring. We can lend you some guide books, maps and a compendium of 30 circular walks.
