The southern beaches area of Tasmania is a water lovers haven. Two of Tasmania's best surfing beaches are only a 5 minute drive away. Carlton River and Park Beach are extremely popular for surfers of all ages all year round. Carlton Beach is patrolled during the summer months. Nearby Dodges Ferry and Primrose Sands both offer easy access to boat ramps, or even to have a fish off the beach or rocks you can easily catch a feed.
