Comfortable second floor flat, in a two flat home. The first bedroom is roomy and has a super comfy queen bed, the second bedroom is smaller with an antique double bed, high end mattress, and ceiling fan. We use good quality cotton and linen bedding and duvets. Each bedroom has a closet with hangers, dresser, bedside tables, reading lamps, extra pillows, extra blanket and mirror. As a bonus there is third small bedroom with a set of bunk beds (double under, single over) should the extra space be needed.
The eat in kitchen is well equipped and includes full size appliances. Some basics are supplied (including coffee, tea, salt and pepper, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, sugar, and some basic spices).
The flat contains a full size washer and dryer with detergent pods supplied as well.
The living room has large windows overlooking the local field, heat pump, ceiling fan and a comfy lounge sofa. There is a flat screen TV with fibreoptv. Our guests have found the apartment very comfy and clean. The single bathroom has shower/tub with shampoo and conditioner supplied. We supply nice clean white towels.

Tucked off the main road on a quiet tree lined street in Halifax's vibrant Northend community in a family neighbourhood with well lit streets and mature trees lining the sidewalks. There is always lots of free parking available on the street at the flat as an added bonus. Definately a residential area but close to all amenities. The Nova Scotia Community College Technical Campus is 1 block away. There are parks, tennis courts, schools, transit as well as cyclists and children in the neighborhood.
We are a 3-10 minute walk from a pharmacy, Tim Hortons, Nova Scotia Liquor Commission, bakery, corner store, and diner. Saturday mornings there is a wee farm market a few blocks away too. There is also a butcher, french bakery, pizzeria (best in the city!), sushi, gelato and local shopping district with 15 minutes walking in the historic hydrostone market area. For the history buffs check out the Halifax Explosion memorial in Needem park. Our favourite breakfast place, Bliss Cafe, its a subtle hole in the wall a 5 minute walk away on Novalea Drive. Their waffles are worth writing post cards home about!
