Budget travelers will love camping in the high desert at my private, primitive campsite located on the Colorado Plateau with great views of the San Francisco mountains and fantastic night skies, only 3 miles from Valle, 30 minutes from the Grand Canyon south rim or Williams, and 45 minutes from Flagstaff down Highway 180.

I'm an avid downhill skier, hiker, rock climber, sailor, and general lover of the great outdoors, particularly the astronomical wonders only visible from a really dark-sky location like Valle, Arizona. I've never met a stranger, and would probably give a fellow traveler in a foreign land my last dollar. I've traveled extensively both in the United States and abroad, and love meeting new people from other places who have had life experiences different from my own. As a favorite history professor once told me, "How can one know England, who only England knows?", which I imagine is a famous quote from someone.
