Coconuts Villa is a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom private villa, that caters for groups of friends, or families alike. It is located 50 metres off the main road, 1km from the beautiful Balangan beach.
Booking the villa was a Breeze. The layout of the villa was great to accommodate all 7 of us for the 3 nights in July 2018 with the pool and dining area as the common space for us to chill at while we’re at the villa. I can’t say the same for the hospitality from the team managin…
Firstly thankyou for staying with us at the villa, we are happy that you have said that the villa is "Great" It is our understanding that this review may have been left by one of the guests (Nikki) in the travelling party, not the person that made the booking (Fairoza), who was provided the pre arrival information about the villa. Also after investigation with the staff, there was some initial misunderstanding by 1 guest in regard to the information provided about breakfast. The group arrived at 2 different times, Fairoza arrived first and the villa manager advised her of everything that she needed to know about the villa, including if anyone needed anything, that they should come and see him and he would help in any way he could, the manager also made Fairoza aware that there were 3 choices for breakfast and if they had to be out for a tour, or somewhere at designated time, that they would need to let the staff know what they would like for breakfast the night before so it was ready for them so they wouldn't be late. It is our expectation that this information would be transferred by the first arrivals to the later arriving members of the group, so everyone was aware of the same information. It doesn't seem that this has taken place, as there was confusion at breakfast on the first morning with 1 guest wanting to order all of the 3 choices of breakfast, for all 7 guests. Airbnb states that the included breakfast is an American breakfast. Our American breakfast consists of 2 eggs any style with bacon and toast, butter, jam, tea or coffee, a choice of fresh juice and fruit salad, or you can substitute the eggs, bacon and toast for either a pancake or omelette, still with tea, coffee, fresh juice and fruit salad. It was explained that if you wanted something extra outside of the above, then there was an additional charge. The villa or Airbnb certainly doesn't state that we provide a smorgasbord/buffet breakfast! On the second morning, the guests wanted to be out by 9am, but didn't request a breakfast order the night before, they came to breakfast at 8.45am, expecting to have breakfast cooked for 7 people, then eaten, to be able to leave by 9am. We are sorry that this expectation couldn't be met, as we only have a staff of 2 and do not have a commercial kitchen. A 15 year old boy (the son of the villa manager) served breakfast one morning, as he does help out on occasion, if he doesn't have school. We appreciate the fact that he is willing to help. We are unsure why this may have been an issue for you, but hopefully if he ever reads your review, he is not disheartened by it. We are sorry if there may have been a plate or cup with a stain on it in the kitchen cupboard, but it was certainly not numerous dishes as you seem to have suggested. There is dish washing/liquid soap in the villa kitchen, hand soap is in each bathroom. After reading your feed back, we will buy some hand soap for the kitchen. The staff would have happily washed or replaced any dish or plate that you may have had an issue with, especially if they had been made aware that there was a problem. The cushions for the sunbeds get put under the poolside Bale at night, so if it rains while everyone is asleep, they don't get wet. The cushions were put on the sunbeds in the morning after you went out, but it rained at the villa for a short period during the day so they got put under cover again. You didn't get back until the early evening so they were left under cover for the night, if you wanted to use that area or have a cushion placed on the sunbeds, you only had to ask and it would have been done straight away. The staff are at the villa to help, if guests are at the villa they stay outside the villa compound to provide privacy for our guests, they only enter the villa to make up the rooms and clean and tidy up, this is usually when the guests go out, or after all the guests have had breakfast and are up and about. We apologise if some of your dishes in the kitchen weren't washed in a timely manner. On the first part of your groups arrival, the manager let Fairoza know that, if you wanted anything, you only had ask the staff and it would be taken care of. Finally we don't agree with your comments, about the staff being rude. They may have had to make sure that you understood what we do and don't provide as part of the nightly cost, which you may not have agreed with, but they are never rude. Was it the opinion of all the 7 guests in your group, that the staff were rude, or was it just one? If anyone reading this takes the time to read any of our other reviews, they will see there is only great things said about the staff at the villa, nothing like what your review has stated.
