A peaceful home in the middle of a large wooded lot. Private yet a quick drive to Springfield and close drive to Branson. A great location to use as your home while exploring the scenic Ozarks, tranquil getaway, or just for overnight along Route 66

お部屋
The room is spacious and there is plenty of space to relax even with the king bed and dresser and side table. I have been told the King sized bed is cozy and will afford you a peaceful nights sleep.
For families with children there is an extra bedroom available with a queen bed and a couch in the formal living room to crash on as well. A family with up to 3 children could be quite comfortable, especially if the kids are willing to share a bed. This extra space is also listed here on AirBnB and would only be available for the family if not reserved already, please check by sending an inquiry before your make your reservation.
Roomy personal bathroom complete with custom walk in shower and built in bench will be shared with other guests only if our other space is rented. Washcloths and towels available.
The room does not include a home cooked country breakfast, for a fee, you can order it.

ゲストの立ち入り範囲
Even though we are close to the interstate, we are still a few miles from the parts of town that have many restaurants to choose from. I like to offer guests the chance to order a home cooked evening meal, if your arrival is during the hours I'm serving dinner. The kitchen is open to use, not to worry I have plenty of cooking tools for from scratch cooking. The formal living and family room is available to help you relax, we ask that you don't use the family room or the fenced back yard unless we are home. This space is where our pets live and they may never let you leave the house once you start to pet them. We live in our house and cook in our kitchen daily, it may not appear picture perfect while you are here, but it is clean.

I love the quiet neighborhood. There are cows sometimes across the street. Sometimes deer, turkey, possum or raccoon can be seen out the front yard. Birds and squirrels are often seen as well. If you are one that likes to relax by taking a walk or going for a run, it is safe to do here. If you go right there is a low to no traffic road that will take you to Historic Route 66 that round trip is a 3 mile walk. If you go the other way there is an easier 1.5 mile round trip on a low traffic road.
There are 3 nearby abandoned towns with in 10 miles of us on Historic Route 66 that would be fun to visit.

I am proud to say that I was raised an Army Brat, and spent most of my youth in Central Texas. My husband was raised in Colorado, Kansas City and this area. We met in this area and have been married, to each other, for over 25 years. We are still in love and consider each other to be our best friend. We have a mid-sized veggie garden and I like to work (weed and plant) in it. I harvest the food from it for some same day meals. The excess we can for later meals in the off season. I enjoy canning other produce that comes from the orchards for off season meals. I enjoy sewing and generally making things by hand. A couple of nieces have asked me to teach them to sew quilts, I'd like to say we had a fun and they learned a lot. I sell the things I make. We have friendly chihuahuas that I take to conformation shows throughout the year. They are a joy and overall great companionship. For the most part they create fans where every they go. We like old cars, and have a few old Volkswagen's, some run and drive and some are in various stages of restoration. We like going to car shows and looking at the cars entered as well as taking are VW's to the show. For us going to some of these shows is like going to a family reunion. In a nutshell, I have a great deal of respect for faith and family, and you know I can't forget to include friends both old and new.

Personally, we enjoy coffee on the side porch in the mornings or sitting on the bench in the quiet front yard in the afternoon. You are welcome to join us! If you choose to order one of my home cooked evening meals, for a fee, and something is needed out of the garden you can help pick it, join in the preparation or just relax with your feet up.
