Cute 2 bedroom, open concept home in the heart of Dallas Center. Located next to the Raccoon River Valley bike trail (RRVT) and w/in a min. walk to restaurant/bar, ice cream, parks, and more. There are no stairs on this property to navigate, great for children or those that have difficulty navigating stairways. There is a charming and quiet patio with chairs and love seat to enjoy morning coffee, or a glass of wine. Propane BBQ grill and propane fire-pit available for your use. Large garage is available to store bicycles, or to park your vehicles with permission prior to use. We also have a couple of bicycles (and helmets) on property for use to try out the trails or just bike around town. Weekly and monthly discounted rates available.

The house is tucked away from the main street in a quiet neighborhood. Dallas Center main street is just a 1/2 block away where there is a restaurant, ice cream/sub shop, some small retail shops, and the bike trail.
There is also a large park with playground equipment just a block away and and a few blocks more a public pool for those hot summer days. In the winter there is a free ice rink for skating just a few blocks away. Dallas Center is home to many beautiful older homes all within walking distance. It's a lovely town to walk or ride around. Brenton Arboretum (144 acres) is just 2 miles away and a beautiful place to visit year round, and for those with fur babies a great place to take your pups to run for a small fee of around $5/per day.

My husband and I did our first vacation rental 8 years ago in Tennessee. Since then we have done several others, and the experience has always been very pleasant. Who does not love staying in an entire house versus a hotel room for the same or less money?! When our renters moved out of our Dallas Center, Iowa property we thought hosting/introducing folks in/to this quaint, but ideally situated small town would be such a neat way for people to try something new or just get-away from the hustle and bustle. There is a very popular bike trail (RRVT) just 1/2 block from the home, along with parks, public pool, restaurants, etc. If your looking to get married, there are several barns and an arboretum that both host beautiful weddings. We also thought this is a great way to provide another resource to the local residents as a place they can send their visiting family and friends to stay, while keeping them close by. And finally, a great home for folks wanting the comforts of home while traveling for work, especially those looking for longer term rentals versus weekly and monthly hotels. We want to create a 5 Star experience so we have combined our favorite features from our travel experiences and incorporated them into this home.
