Preyoshi is set in the midst of wide open spaces with an ambience of peace and quiet. The season flowers add to the charm of this setting. The friendly and helpful staff ensure a pleasant stay. A visit to Viswabharati (close by), the university founded by the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore is highly recommended. So is the Deer Park nearby and the Shonibaarer Haat (Saturday Market). Parking space is not assured. Chauffeurs/drivers cannot be accommodated.

The bungalow is located in a non congested neighbourhood overlooking wide open spaces and yet not far from town centre and the Viswabharati university. The room is on the first floor of a bungalow, and it accommodates 2 guests. A third guest can be accommodated on a folding bed at an extra cost.

Guests can sit and enjoy the handkerchief garden, and access the private room on the first floor through a staircase made exclusively for guests. Guests are free to use common spaces like the dining cum drawing room, balcony and kitchen. Guests can cook their own meals in the (shared) kitchen which is well appointed with gas burner, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, blender-mixer and all necessary utensils. Alternatively, vegetarian or non-vegetarian meals can be provided with prior notice. Meals are priced at per person basis.

Guests are advised not to take the spiral staircase to the terrace in view of their own safety. Parents/guardians must ensure that their accompanying children do not try to access the terrace.

A walk around the neighbourhood to the Santal settlement can be very pleasant. A short ride to the Deer Park in the morning is recommended. Of course, a trip to the Viswabharati campus, Kala Bhawan (Art Department) in particular, and Uttarayan (Tagore's residential complex) is an essential part of a trip to Santiniketan.
