Thank you Li. After reading your review I ran right up to Lowe's and bought a new adjustable shower head. Wish you would have told me right after your first shower. Lowe's is 10 minutes away. You would have had it for your second shower !!! See you again soon and we sincerely hope to earn 5 stars from you.
The home was smaller than anticipated, no photos. It was really a camp house, bedrooms going into eachother. We paid hotel rates but brought everything including sheets and kitchen towels, bath mats, sponges, garbage bags. Also was expected to vacumn and clean entire house on de…

Thank you so much for staying with us Leslie. We enjoyed having you and the other three ladies stay with us at our rental cottage on the lake. We are happy you had a good time and we thank you for the 4’s and 5’s you gave us on your review of our property. I noticed that your review had a number of comments. Please allow me to address each of them. You said: “The home was smaller than anticipated, no photos.” Leslie, the cottage is clearly described on our Airbnb web page. There are 32 photos visibly showing the design and attributes of the cottage. You said: “It was really a camp house, bedrooms going into each other.” Leslie, our property is advertised in the title as a “Cottage”, and not a “House” (Website hidden by Airbnb) Many cottages have the very same bedroom arrangement that we have and our bedroom arrangement is readily shown in the photos on our Airbnb web page. You said: “We paid hotel rates but brought everything including sheets and kitchen towels, bath mats, sponges, garbage bags”. Leslie, perhaps you have never previously rented a cottage. 90% of cottage rentals in the Finger Lakes region require you to bring these items and the ones that do not, charge more. I sent you the following list when you reserved back in May. What you should bring: Sheets and pillow cases. There are three twin size beds, one double, and one king size (master bedroom) bed in the cottage. The king in the master bedroom can be converted to two twins. All paper supplies Trash bags Dish soap and all soaps Dish and bath towels, bath mat, dish cloth, etc. Personal items Food and drink Aqua shoes for the lake Leslie, you knew what you had to bring months before you arrived. Please also keep in mind that no hotel in the area offers you the more living area than a cottage. Further, no hotel gives you 50 feet of your own private lake frontage on a beautiful lake like Seneca Lake. You said: “Also was expected to vacumn and clean entire house on departure, which we did do”. Leslie, again you knew this when you made your reservations. Here is a reprint of the pertinent section of your rental agreement that you signed. CLEANING and DAMAGE This is a housekeeping rental. Renter agrees to leave the cottage in the same clean and good repair condition as when the rental began. It was also explained to you that we do not charge a “cleaning fee”. Instead we do require you to clean before you leave, thereby saving a typical $125 cleaning fee. Thanks again for staying with us and I hope I have clarified your comments.
