We hope you had a great holiday in Goa ! First of all, We are sorry if you faced any kind of discomfort during your stay with us; we take utmost care to make our guest’s stay as comfortable as possible, We wish you mentioned these issues to us even once during your 5 day stay with us, we would have been more than happy to help you in anyway we could; just as we do for all our guests.
There a few points we disagree on in your review of our holiday home; don’t get us wrong, we still respect you as our guest & will be happy to host you again in the future & hopefully iron out even slightest discomfort you may have experienced:
1.THERE WAS NO TOILET SOAP: Dear Jenish, It is clearly & specifically mentioned in our listing that we don’t provide personal toiletries, personal grooming items & personal consumables etc. like Bathing soap, Body Moisturizer, Hair Shampoo, Hair Conditioner, Nail cutter, Shaving Kit, Waxing kit, Hair styling gels, Hair Oils, Tooth Brush, Tooth Paste etc. Other Food & Beverage items like Alcohol, Breakfast etc.
I think you may have mistakenly skipped reading our listing in detail before booking or maybe it just slipped out of your mind, in any case its always there for your reference on our listing.
However, we provided you hand wash for bathroom washbasin, toilet paper, 2 hand towels (1 each guest), 2 full body towels (1 each guest) & bath mat. Also we provided dish washing liquid detergent & hand wash in the kitchen sink.
2.THERE IS A NO CURTAIN ON THE WINDOW: As seen in the listing photos; sheer curtains are provided in the studio apartment by default. We also provide total blackout curtains on request. I wish you asked us even once.
(Website hidden by Airbnb) POWER CUTS : Electricity is there for most part of the day & night. In case of power cuts we have provided a digital inverter to keep our guests comfortable with lights and fans; it turns on and off automatically, so no human intervention is required, I am sure you had fans & lights working.
Electricity for most part is not a problem & once in a while power cuts do happen; just as they happen in the capital of India & other parts of the country. We must consider; Siolim, North Goa is a small village & it falls under a village panchayat, It does not enjoy 24/7/365 days no powercuts like metro city of Mumbai where there are multiple power suppliers like Tata Power, Reliance, Maharashtra Electricity board & others. However, it’s not so much of a problem; we ourselves live between Mumbai & Goa. It may have been a co incidence that it happened couple of times during your stay..
4.BLANKETS: We provided you a queen-size blanket & an additional king size bed sheet. We even provide queen-size quilt on request. At the time of your check-in we both asked you to feel free to call us for anything we can help you with anytime during your stay. We wish you mentioned it to us even once during your 5-day stay & we would have been happy to help you with an extra blanket or a quilt.
We initially use to provide only quilts to the guests but owing to the warm tropical climate of Goa most guests prefer & request for lighter blankets.
Dear Jenish, As listed on our Airbnb holiday home rental; ours is a self service apartment & we expect to get the apartment in clean condition as it was handed over at the time of check-in, but we would like to bring to your notice that the apartment was left extremely dirty & filthy, The apartment was not cleaned even once in those 5 days; we can understand that you didn’t want to clean the apartment yourself & that’s why we provided you our maids contact number for your convenience & comfort but the maid was not called for cleaning even once, the dirt, sand and the trash from 5 days of your stay was scattered all over the apartment in pile and the room was stinking & smelling foul, there was beer / alcohol was spilled all over the floor & on the night stand table next to the bed, that made the floor sticky and smelly, we also found out that you cooked Maggi / noodles in the electric kettle that was meant for boiling water. We have provided proper cooking utensils in the kitchen for holiday cooking purpose & also there are microwave bowls that can also cook Maggie in the microwave, but still you chose to cook it in electric kettle. The electric kettle base had burnt noodle stuck to it; that was very difficult to clean afterwards. We find this behavior very disturbing.
Again, despite having cleanliness issues, we hold no personal grudges and you’re always welcome to a Camorc property in future !
