I would like to begin by stating that I hope that you have a great experience at your next vacation home rental. It is unfortunate that you disagree with the house rules, but they are really set in place to protect the interest of the guest and to become acquainted with what the home has to offer and where to locate it all, which our staff considers helpful to the guest(s). It should not have taken you more than 30 minutes to take a tour throughout the home to complete the sheet. As far as a lease agreement it is recommended that we have one in place, to protect the guests from loses, which we also consider helpful for a thorough communication with the guest(s) and not in any form or fashion a waste of time. Considering that in some occasions there are incidents where damages are caused to the property, like the burned surface that your party caused to the breakfast nook table with a hot pot.
In terms of the decorative towels, there are extra towel racks for the guest(s) to hang their towels, therefore, this is not considered an inconvenience.
In terms of the pool. While this was an event, beyond anyone’s control, I apologized for its condition due to the constant rains, which eat away the chlorine in the pool. While I am not trying to defend the pool maintenance company’s position, they conduct maintenance on the pool on a weekly basis and are unfortunately not able to predetermine just how much chemicals will be necessary to overcome the issue with the raining season condition. Therefore, the owner requested to have a chlorine generator installed, which was recently completed and which will automatically release the proper amount of chlorine into the pool on a daily basis, in order to avoid the impact that the rain water has on the pool water going forward.
