A rustic getaway awaits! Beautiful 3BR 2BA waterfront cabin rests on the shore of Lake Tekini, one of the Okara Lakes. Lake Tekini is a non-motorized lake. Just a few minutes drive to the town of Old Forge for dining, shopping, & Enchanted Forrest water park. Hiking trails available from the cabin or a short drive away for longer adventures. Just off Trail 6 (snowmobiling) in the winter. Canoe or kayak (both provided)from the yard, or relax on our upper or lower deck overlooking the lake.

Jump off of the dock in to the lake or launch a canoe or kayak. Two kayaks and a canoe, along with 2 adult and 2 child life jackets are provided. There is also a sandy beach that you can reach via a short walk from the home or use a boat to get there. Fish in the summer with plenty of bass to choose from. Family fun for everyone!
An outdoor fire pit is available for marshmallows and ghost stories. A woodburning stove inside is available for cooler nights.

The house is yours. There is a fence on on one side and some trees on the other giving you privacy to enjoy your vacation. Access keys to the property via a lock box.

Please note we do not provide sheets, towels, or toiletries. We have mattress pads and pillows on each bed. Due to COVID we have removed all other bedding and blankets.
You must take care of your own trash which must be bagged in clear plastic bags. The town pick up is on Tuesdays and the receptacle is across the street. Otherwise, trash must be taken to the trash repository on McCauley Mountain. Trash cannot be left out overnight - there are bears in the area.
A cleaning service is provided between guests. We will be adding additional CDC recommended disinfecting procedures between each guest in response to COVID -19. We do not charge an additional cleaning fee but ask that floors are swept/vacuumed, dishes are washed/put away, refrigerator is emptied, and the cabin is picked up before your departure. Please turn off lights and fans. The best rule of thumb is that it should be left in the condition in which you found it. This gives us the ability to thoroughly clean and disinfect in a safe and efficient manner for all of our guests.

Peace and quiet await. A walk around the lake takes a leisurely 30-40 minutes. Neighbors are as friendly as they come if you happen to see any. Slow pace life is the key to happiness here!

We have a local caretaker who is available if any needs arise during your stay. I can be reached as well via phone/text to answer any questions you may have. Pamphlets on places to visit and where to eat are available at the cabin.(currently limited due to COVID-19)
