Shirley, A few things need to be clarified. First you asked if you could put some groceries in 5 hours before check in. We accommodated that request even though we had a guest checking out that morning.
Our cleaner found a pair of jeans sitting on the bed and assumed it was from the previous checkout. My cleaner called me and I instructed her to lock them in the cleaning closet. She didn’t take a pair of jeans and you know that. She lives over an hour away in Hilo and drove 2 hours RT to get your jeans that should not have been there in the first place.
You should also mention that you broke into the cleaning closet by removing the doors off the hinges.
Regarding the maintanence from the association. We provided you a schedule in advance of your stay. The lanai was painted in one day, and was only unavailable for that day.
In closing I would say that you had my phone number and email contact and this is the first I have heard of the Lanai situation.
In regards to my cleaning staff, it is a mother daughter that we trust 100% and have never had a complaint before or since. Because of this experience we will no longer allow early check in request that may have guest leaving items they are not suppose to
