The space is listed as a studio under "private rooms", which means the main entrance is your door, which is visible in the pictures on the listing. The curtain simply helps your room cool down or heat up faster by cutting off the hallway; it isn't designed to be any sort of privacy barrier. That's what the bathroom door is for.
I'm sorry that you didn't find my neighborhood appealing. I assure you, we have a strong community focus and we're all very involved in making sure our neighborhood is clean and safe. Most people that live nearby work more than one job, myself included, so they don't have time every day to sweep their sidewalks. Unless you mean because some of my neighbors are black. I certainly hope that isn't what made you feel that way. Otherwise, I'm not sure what you could possibly mean by "sketchy."
I've had people stay in my studio for weeks, leave for a few days, and come back again for another few weeks. I've had a few people book this room twice for one- and two-night stays, and I've only had this space available since February. They all seem to have found my neighborhood acceptable and looked into how close this location is to public transportation and Center City before deciding to book the room. I hope your next rental is up to your standards.
