My cedar shingled bungalow is set behind another home in a garden surrounded by redwoods and native plants. Built in 1904, it has two bedrooms upstairs, one of which is my bedroom. My home feels like a mountain cabin downstairs and beach house upstairs. The guest bedroom has a comfy queen bed with luxury linens, cozy wool carpets, and a private deck with views of neighboring homes, the garden and hills. The bathroom is upstairs and has a bathtub with a tiled shower and a beautiful marble floor.
This location would be perfect for visiting scholars, people visiting the UC Berkeley campus, sports fans, travelers and anyone who needs a safe, comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Berkeley.
The guests are welcome to share the use of my living room, dining room, deck, garden and kitchen for making coffee or tea.
This is my home and I enjoy receiving guests here.
I like to give my guests space and privacy but am available to answer questions or offer suggestions about local restaurants, pubs or advice about how to best navigate your planned activities.
My small dog Osito will bark when you arrive, but a warm greeting really helps him to get to know you. I have two cats that live primarily outside, but come in and socialize when I'm home.
Guests who book a stay here may be asked to confirm their identities to me in person with a picture I.D. to affirm they are the person who booked the stay.
Please don't bring food or drinks other than water into the bedroom.
Please leave the key in the lockbox at all times.
