My two story, cedar shingled bungalow is set behind another home in a garden surrounded by redwoods and native plants. Built in 1904 with redwood timbers this unique home feels like a mountain cabin downstairs and a beach house upstairs. The light and airy bedroom has a comfy queen bed, cozy wool carpets and a private deck with seating and views of neighboring homes, the garden and a lovely view of the hills. The shared bathroom has a bathtub with a tiled shower and beautiful marble floor.
This location would be perfect for visiting scholars, students, sports fans, travelers and anyone who needs a safe, comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Berkeley.
The guests are welcome to use the livingroom, diningroom, deck, garden and kitchen for making coffee, tea and light cooking.
This is my home and I look forward to receiving guests here. I'm a third generation Bay Area resident and would be very happy to offer suggestions about day trips, restaurants or advice about how to best navigate your planned activities.
My small dog Osito is getting still getting used to new people arriving and it's important that you greet him when you arrive. He will bark, but after a warm greeting he will warm to you. I have two cats that live primarily outside, but come in and socialize when I'm home.
Please note that any guest(s) who book a stay here may be asked to confirm their identity(s) to me in person, in some cases I may ask you for a picture I.D.
If you are not the person who booked the room, your reservation will be invalid and therefore cancelled.
I ask that you please clean up after yourself in the kitchen and bathroom,
Lock the front door when you enter and exit, and leave the key in the lockbox at all times.
I also ask you not to bring additional guest/friends to the house or property.
