Our quiet home sits in an open field overlooking pastures and mountain views. Enjoy private access to your upstairs bedroom suite, along with a complementary morning drink of tea or coffee. Enjoy peace, serenity and comfort during your stay.
Your private suite is located on the second floor of our rambling 1850s Vermont farmhouse. Your suite consists of two private rooms. One room is a proper bedroom with a full bed, dresser, and closet. The second room acts as a bedroom and dining area. This room includes two twin beds (great for the kids!), a dining table with chairs, a mini fridge, hot pot, french press coffee maker, water jugs, and kitchen ware and utensils. We stock the suite with coffee, assorted teas, oatmeal, sugar, honey, and half and half. There is a bathroom downstairs by the entrance into the main house that is for your use. Complementary shampoo and conditioner provided. You have private access to your upstairs suite so you can come and go as you please. We inhabit the downstairs of our house, and the suite is located upstairs. We share the entry way of the house, which we call the mudroom.
Guests have access to high speed internet, cell phone service, a mini fridge, mountain views, and a network of woods trails located just behind our house.
We're open to as much interaction as you are comfortable with. We are happy to provide you with fun local happenings in our area.
Please note that kids stay for free (so don't list them in your people count, but do message me to let me know if you are bringing your kids so i can get the beds ready. Each pet is an extra $15 per stay. We have a pack and play available too.
Frank and I have lived here since 2008, our son, Harvest, arrived in October of 2012, and our daughter, Adele, arrived in March of 2015. We enjoy good company, good food, and playing outside. I have been teaching yoga in the greater Hardwick area for the past 8 years, as well as assisting Caledonia Spirits with sales, farmers markets, and social media for the past 3 years. If you enjoy a stunning sunrise and moonrise, local food and agriculture, cross country skiing in the winter and swimming or biking in the summer, then you will love it here!
