https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/11647783?guests=1&location=Arcadia%2C%20MI&s=Cgt7Q--R Kitchen, dining room, living space, bedroom... all in one 144 sq ft. room! This is a tiny house on wheels built (by us!) on a 7 ft by 18ft. trailer. There is a hot water on demand unit providing hot water for the indoor sink and indoor shower. Also near the house is a delightful outdoor composting toilet. Note: Because of the unique characteristics of a tiny house, I did my best to fill out how many "bedrooms" and "bathrooms" the tiny space has. It has the equivalent of one bathroom and one bedroom.
This house features mostly natural sheep's wool insulation in the walls and all zero VOC finishes. We are proud to say all the interior wall paneling is N. Michigan basswood and the wood floors are N. Michigan ash. We are happy to answer any ?s you may have!
We have another tiny house on the property. Each tiny house has its own privacy. They are located approx. 40 yards apart, separated by a piece of forest.
You will have the whole tiny house to yourselves. Relax by a bonfire, enjoy the stars. We live on the property, not far away so are available if you have any questions, etc. We have a two night minimum stay but if you are interested in just one night and the calendar says that night is available, please message us and we'll see what we can do. Our intention is for the tiny house to be accessible price-wise to folks. If the price you see for the dates you want is not accessible, please message us and let us know what would work for you.
We leave our guests to have their privacy. For most guests, we will be available to meet with you if you have questions. There is a book in the house full of info on our favorites...favorite place for breakfast, favorite beach, mt. bike, etc.
We have a french press for making coffee, not a regular coffee pot. If you would like a regular coffee pot, let me know. We offer on-site massage therapy. We are pet-friendly and have hosted many groups with dogs. There is a $20/per pet/per night fee, which will not be included in your AirBnB total. Please leave this money in the tiny house before you leave. We require pet owners to follow our pet policy. Inquire for a copy of it.
- This accommodation is best for those seeking to enjoy nature and have a relaxing time in Northern Michigan. If you are planning a high-volume party that will carry on late into the night... you'll want to look elsewhere for a place to stay. Pet owners are welcome, provided they are well-behaved and that pet policy (inquire for a copy) is followed. Notify us in advance if you plan to bring a dog(s).
- Check-in Time 2pm to 10pm
-While no pets live on the property, other guests may have brought their pet.
My husband, Jon, and I are from the midwest (Ohio and Michigan), interested in simple living, cooking, gardening, building. We both have traveled (Guatemala, Honduras, Cuba, Europe, Mexico, etc.) and lived in different parts of the country. We enjoy learning new skills like maple sugaring, crafts, and working to find a balanced life. We welcome the opportunity to meet you!
