I am lucky to live in a beautiful county, near the sea. I love sea swimming, walking, reading and generally lazing in the sun. Other interests include Archaeology and History, which is why I took the opportunity to buy a holiday home in the Charente , at Verteuil, midway between the fascinating mediaeval towns of Poitiers and Angouleme. Verteuil is dominated by its beautiful chateau. It has an old fashioned community spirit and welcoming bars and restaurants where you can get to know the locals. Joining in with the community is important to me, wherever I am.
