Hi! If you're thinking of booking, please read the entire listing below (click the "Read more about the space" button to expand and see the full thing as Airbnb hides it) and message me BEFORE booking to confirm.

Welcome to The Glass House. Come see what the press called "The World's Most Beautiful Tiny House" and The Today Show called an "off-grid oasis."
Sleep staring at the stars and feel the stress melt away in this glass-enclosed tiny house (just 180 square feet!) retreat, just 90 minutes from NYC, but a world away.

This is a truly special place, and many find it surprising that it can exist so close to New York. With all sorts of wildlife coming within inches of the house (don't be surprised if you see coyotes, families of deer, and every type of bird you could imagine--not to mention more butterflies than you've ever seen, depending on the season), this is a truly immersive experience into nature. But despite its small size and isolated location, it is surprisingly luxurious on the inside.

The listing includes:
-A 180 square-foot glass-enclosed tiny house, offering spectacular 360-degree views of the Hudson Valley and surrounding vineyards and apple orchards
-Lots of privacy on a 30-acre farm, featuring a modest lavender field! (Super special/rare for the region)
-Outdoor dining and lounging furniture, along with access to a fire pit that you can definitely grill on.
-A plush queen-sized bed with a super-comfy Casper mattress and insanely comfortable pillows
-A dining table with two chairs for sitting and eating and/or working.
-A modern stainless-steel kitchen with a mini-fridge, induction cooktop for cooking, microwave, and electric kettle. Despite the small size, it has just about everything but a range oven.
-Wi-Fi for keeping in touch with the real world and streaming shows on your personal devices.
-Heat and A/C for all-season comfort.

Also note that while the house is tiny and has a maximum occupancy of two people, I am sometimes able to accommodate larger parties for those bringing tents and willing to camp outside. Please inquire about pricing for such scenarios.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: Can I get to the house without a car?
A: The house is about 20-minutes driving from the Beacon Metro-North train station (about 90 minutes from Grand Central). If you choose not to drive the whole way there are Zipcar pickups at the train station (reserve in advance!) and Uber is now in the area (roughly $20 for the ride from the train). However, a car is highly recommended (especially if you want to explore the area as you will feel quite trapped without one), and the car-free will need to show up with everything they need for the stay as the farm is in a rural area that is not walkable.

Q: Do I need to bring towels or linens? What about a hairdryer?
A: Nope! I provide all these things. Same with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

Q: How will I receive the key?
A: The house features a lockbox and keyless entry system. This allows for effortless check-in and entry.

Q: Is the place professionally cleaned between guests?
A: Yes, and I take pride in providing a clean home for guests. Take a look at my reviews—I think you'll find my guests agree!

Q: What's up with the cleaning fee?
A: Every cent of it goes to my cleaner, who is a professional and worth every penny.

Q: What's my total booking price?
A: I honestly have no idea. With fees included, Airbnb only shows the guest, and not the host, the total cost. This figure should be present after you enter your dates. Note that, pricing varies on a daily basis, so you will need to enter the correct dates to see your price.

Q: I am looking for a last-minute stay. Can I make a same-day booking?
A: If you're looking for a same-day booking and the place is free, please inquire and I'll try! It depends on whether my cleaning crew can spring into action at the last-minute, which isn't a sure thing. Check-in may also have to be later than the listed time in order to make sure the place is ready. Still, can't hurt to ask.

Q: I know it says "No Animals". Can I bring my small/well-behaved dog?
A: I love dogs, but there is a farm dog who gets very nervous when other dogs are around, and so we can not allow animals. This is also for your dog's safety, as there are coyotes and groundhog traps in the area. Basically: Please don't try to sneak one in--this really doesn't end well and guests who violate this rule will be evicted immediately without refund nor exception.

Q: I'm a blogger/YouTuber/influencer. Can I stay for free?
A: No.

ONE LAST THING:I really, really appreciate that you followed directions and read the whole thing. Please put the phrase "Don't throw rocks at glass houses!!" at the top of your message so I know you did so as such bookings tend to go so much smoother!
And thanks for hanging in there!

ゲストの立ち入り範囲
Make yourself at home (you know: within reason). A touchpad smartlock allows for keyless entry and effortless check-in and coming-and-going. The Glass House also comes with access to outdoor furniture and a fire pit, as well as absolutely incredible views and total relaxation.

その他の特記事項
The Glass House is mostly off the grid, meaning guests should note a few things:

-The toilet is a Laveo dry-flush toilet. This is the same toilet Matt Damon used in The Martian. When you "flush", it basically deposits your business into a sanitary and completely odor-free vessel without using water. It's actually cleaner and smells less (as in: not at all) than a composting or even regular toilet. This system features cartridges that are changed out between guests, and offer around 20 flushes per stay. This is typically adequate for two guests for two nights, but guests are advised to conserve flushes. In addition, I will be sending info on how to "swap" the cartridge if you run out (I promise it's easy!) Guests will also need to dispose of this on their way out (again: I promise it's easy!)

-The house requires some degree of self-reliance and understanding as it is in the back of a farm. Of note: The driveway to the house is not paved the entire way and may leave your car a bit muddy during some seasons. If there is severe snow or ice on the ground, guests may need to park a short walk from the house and walk to avoid getting stuck on a hill. In addition, at checkout, guests are asked to bring their trash to a receptacle at the front of the farm on the way out (we can't leave it by the house between guests or animals could get to it). I promise it is all worthwhile!

-The house is very much immersed in nature. Nature has bugs and animals. You may see both. There may even be an ant or similar such bug in the house. I promise it won't hurt you.

-While the house is very isolated and very quiet, you may hear farm equipment on occasion from the neighboring orchards (on our farm, the most you'll see is a tractor/mower).

-We recently put a second tiny house on the farm. As such, you may bump into folks going there on the drive in, but the house itself is still very much isolated and your views and privacy are pristine. If interested in renting the second house as well, just let me know!

-About check-in times: If no guests are checking out the same day as you arrive, I can often allow for early check-in as long as we have advance notice and it works with my cleaner's schedule. Likewise, if your arrival is on the same day as a check-out, my cleaner will need every second she has to prepare the place. On those dates, there's also a slight chance she may be putting the finishing touches on when you arrive, so I just ask that guests be understanding if that happens as she's trying hard to do a lot in a short window and can't control things like traffic or the like and occasionally needs until 4:15 or 4:30 to finish. Rather than setting the check-in time at 5pm, I instead just ask for guest understanding if this happens.

The Glass House is situated on a 30-acre farm in the rolling hills of the Hudson Valley. Guests have total privacy, but are joined on the farm by the main farm house, a smaller residence with live-in caretakers that can help out in case of an emergency, and one other tiny house. Around the farm are views of rolling vineyards and apple orchards—many of which are absolutely worth a visit. Downtown Marlboro is minutes away and has a few nightlife and dining options, and the hopping town of Beacon (home of the Dia; Beacon) is about 20 minutes away. Storm King Art Center (a must) is also about 25 minutes away. Also near: New Paltz, Cold Spring Poughkeepsie, and countless other Hudson Valley gems. While it is far easier to reach the Glass House by car, guests can also take the Metro-North train to Beacon, and then take a taxi or Uber (20-minute ride). As this is a rural area, it is not walkable and guests who arrive without a car should arrive with all the supplies they will need for their stay. The house is also about a quarter-mile back on the farm from the road, so you may have to hike to meet any Uber pick-ups.
