I can't wait for your visit to my big red house in Bangor! I've owned this home for 20 years. So many wonderful memories are here. While in Maine, I was a television and radio announcer for several stations and can still be heard on WFMX in the Augusta area. Many of my family members were raised in Bangor and the surrounding towns. This will always be our 'home.' There are some wonderful little boutique restaurants right downtown that I loved to frequent, followed up by a performance at the Penobscot Theatre on Main Street. And as summer treats, the American Folk Festival and concerts on the waterfront are events to look forward to! If you venture on a short walk just a couple blocks away, you'll find the house of Maine Author, Stephen King. It's red, just like mine! I love to travel. And I understand why you've come to Airbnb. Not only will you find deals on overnight stays, but it's just that feel of secure comfort that we love when we're away from home. I've traveled to many places, both in the US and in foreign lands, and I always enjoyed sleeping at unusual places and quaint little inns. There's something special about staying at the home of a local. The big red house awaits you. ~Cindy
